Holiday shopping is starting, and the Meta Quest 3S is a headset many buyers are weighing. Meta’s Canadian store listed the 128GB model at C$479.99 and the 256GB model at C$629.99 on October 26, 2026, both in stock.

How prices moved

Those figures follow a price increase that took effect on April 19, 2026. iPhone in Canada reported the changes for Meta’s Canadian lineup:

  • Quest 3S 128GB: from C$399.99 to C$479.99
  • Quest 3S 256GB: from C$549.99 to C$629.99
  • Quest 3 512GB: from C$679.99 to C$829.99

According to that report, Meta pointed to rising hardware costs, specifically a global spike in memory chip prices. Accessories kept their prices at the time.

In the US, 9to5Toys reported that the 128GB model launched at $300 and rose to $350 earlier in 2026. During Amazon’s fall Prime Day sale on October 7, 2026, it dropped to $297, and the 256GB model fell to $382 from $450. That offer has expired, and the Amazon.com listing showed $349.99 on October 26, 2026. For context, Tom’s Guide reported a price of $249 at Amazon in late November 2025.

What you get

The Quest 3S is a standalone headset, so it needs no PC or console. According to 9to5Toys and Tom’s Guide, it uses the same Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 chip as the Quest 3 and comes in 128GB and 256GB versions. Tom’s Guide says the main hardware difference from the Quest 3 is the lenses: fresnel on the Quest 3S, pancake on the Quest 3.

Bundles differ by retailer. The Amazon listing we checked for the 128GB model includes Batman: Arkham Shadow and a 3-month trial of Meta Horizon+.

Quest 3S or Quest 3

Meta’s Canadian price for the 512GB Quest 3 is C$829.99, against C$479.99 for the 128GB Quest 3S. The Quest 3 is the one to look at if you want the pancake lenses and the larger storage, and the Quest 3S is the cheaper way in with the same chip.

Is it worth it?

The Quest 3S suits first-time VR buyers who want a headset that works on its own. Think about storage before you pick: 128GB can fill up with large games, and the 256GB model costs C$629.99 at Meta in Canada. Because Canadian and US prices have both moved this year, compare Meta’s own store with Amazon.ca and Best Buy Canada, and check what the bundle includes and the return policy before you buy. We have not seen confirmed Black Friday pricing for Canada yet.
