The Wyze Cam v4, a wired 2.5K camera for indoor and outdoor use, costs C$49.99 on Wyze’s Canadian store and US$44.98 on its US store, and Wyze’s own site tags it a 2026 Best Seller. That makes it one of the cheaper ways to keep an eye on a porch, a driveway or a garage as the dark evenings set in.
Wyze, a US smart home company, sells the camera in white, grey and black. Amazon.ca also carries it, with the white and grey versions on separate listings. The figures below come from Wyze’s own pages, checked on October 30, 2026.
What does the Wyze Cam v4 offer?
Wyze describes it as a plug-in camera, so there is no battery to recharge. These are the specs from its product page:
- Video: 2.5K QHD (2560x1440)
- Night vision: black and white, plus enhanced color night vision
- A spotlight and a 99 dB siren
- Two-way talk through the phone app
- IP65 weather resistant
- Storage: local recording to a microSD card up to 256GB, or cloud storage with a subscription plan
- Works with Alexa, Google Assistant and IFTTT
- Size and weight: 2in x 2in x 2 3/8in, 0.49 lb (222 g)
- Warranty: 1-Year
You can sit it on its stand, or mount it on a wall, a ceiling or a magnetic wall mount. The box holds a 6-foot flat micro USB to USB-A cable, and Wyze sells an outdoor power adapter separately for runs outside.

Can it handle a Canadian winter?
Wyze lists an operating range of -4ºF to 122ºF (-20ºC to 50ºC). In plain terms, the maker rates the camera for use down to -20ºC, and colder spells fall outside the listed range. Winter lows vary a lot from one region to the next, so compare that figure with what your own street sees in January.
Because the camera plugs in, there is no battery to drain in the cold, which is the usual winter complaint about wireless cameras. The trade-off is that it needs an outlet nearby or the outdoor adapter.

Why is it getting attention now?
Wyze labels the Cam v4 a 2026 Best Seller on its US product page, and the shopping season is when many households look at home security. Price is part of it too. PCWorld reported on December 2, 2025 that a two-pack of the Cam v4 had dropped to $38 on Amazon, which the site called a new low price.
That report is a year old and quotes a US price, so treat it as background, not as today’s offer. We could not read a current Amazon.ca price, so check the listing yourself.

How much does it cost in Canada and the US?
| Store | Item | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Wyze Canada | Cam v4, 1-pack | C$49.99 |
| Wyze Canada | Cam v4, 2-pack | C$97.98 (listed at C$99.98 otherwise) |
| Wyze US | Cam v4, 1 pack | US$44.98 |
The Wyze Outdoor Power Adapter (19.68 ft) is shown on the Canadian page at C$36.99 against C$49.99. Amazon.ca prices change, so look at the listing on the day you buy.

Who it suits
Renters and condo owners. The stand and magnetic mount mean you can set it up without drilling, and the plug-in power keeps the setup simple.
Homeowners watching a porch or driveway. The IP65 rating, spotlight, siren and -20ºC operating limit cover the basics for an outdoor spot. Plan for the outdoor adapter if the outlet is inside.
People who dislike monthly fees. Wyze says the camera can record locally to a microSD card, and the cloud needs a subscription plan. The card is a separate purchase.
Who should wait. If the spot has no outlet, a battery or solar camera suits better. Wyze’s Canadian store lists its Solar Cam from C$89.98. Anyone who lives where winters drop well below -20ºC should also think twice about an outdoor mount.
What is still unknown?
We have not seen a current Amazon.ca price or stock level. We also did not check the price of Wyze’s cloud plan or what it includes. Sources disagree on the card size: Wyze lists microSD support up to 256GB, while PCWorld says 512GB, and this story uses the maker’s figure.
Before you buy, compare the Wyze Canada price with the Amazon.ca listing, then decide whether you want a microSD card or the cloud plan.
