LAZY GADGET covers technology, cars, video games, trading cards, useful software tools and deals in short, clear stories for people who want the point without the padding. We publish in English, French, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Punjabi and Vietnamese, so more people across Canada can read the news in the language they use at home.
Who we are
Stories appear under the LAZYGG byline, the name of the LAZY GADGET newsroom. We follow phones, computers, smart home gear, electric vehicles, new cars, games and consoles, trading card releases, useful apps and free software offers, and we explain what each announcement means for the people who buy and use them.
How stories are made
Every story starts from an official primary source, such as a company newsroom, a product announcement or a regulator’s notice, and is checked against at least one more reliable source, such as an official store page or an established news outlet. We pull out what matters to readers and explain it in plain language in each of our languages. Each story links to the sources it is based on so you can check the details yourself.
Every story is checked before it goes live. Stories that are too thin, too promotional or that contain figures not found in the sources are dropped. Deals are confirmed on the official site or store before they are published.
Corrections
If you spot a mistake, tell us through the contact page. Confirmed errors are fixed and the story shows an updated time.
