FormCheck+, an iPhone and iPad fitness app that rates a video of your lift from 0 to 100, is free on the App Store for a limited time. New Mobile Life lists its regular price as US$0.99. Neither source gives an end date, so the offer could change at any time.

What does FormCheck+ do?

FormCheck+ checks lifting technique from video. According to its App Store listing, you upload a clip of a lift and the app rates your form, then gives spoken feedback and suggestions for improving it. The same app also handles day to day training records.

Features named on the listing:

  • A form score from 0 to 100, with voiceover feedback and corrective exercises
  • Areas for improvement, with safety concerns and a risk assessment
  • A coaching chat that explains why you received a score, plus a technique checklist and lifting gear suggestions
  • Progress photos, body weight and body measurements, with a goals checklist and a PR dashboard
  • Cardio and workout logging, a plate calculator and a smart training calendar
  • A muscle dashboard that shows neglected and overworked muscle groups
  • Generated workout plans, points and badges, community challenges and side-by-side video and photo comparison
  • A 5-minute warm-up planner and a printable ebook of your data and progress

Is FormCheck+ really free?

Yes, at the time of writing. The App Store listing shows the price as Free, and New Mobile Life says the regular price is US$0.99 and that the free offer is for a limited time. We did not see a Canadian price in either source, so check the Canadian App Store listing before you download. Prices and availability can change, and they can differ by country.

The listing is for iPhone and iPad and is 203.1 MB. It carries a 13+ age rating and supports English plus 26 more languages. Apple notes that it is not verified for macOS.

What should you know about privacy?

The listing says your numerical input is processed by third-party AI services such as OpenAI, through the Base44 system the app was built on. It says your photos, videos and analysis stay private to your account and are permanently deleted if you delete the account in settings. The developer links a full privacy policy on the listing. Read it before you upload video or photos of yourself.

Who it suits

Lifters who want feedback between sessions. If you train alone or without a coach on hand, a score and a list of corrective exercises give you something to work on. The listing names powerlifters, bodybuilders, CrossFit athletes, runners and general fitness users, from beginners to advanced lifters.

People who want one app for logs and progress. The cardio log, plate calculator, body measurements, PR dashboard and photo comparison sit in the same place as the form check. That suits anyone tired of juggling a notes app and a spreadsheet.

Anyone curious who is careful with personal video. At no cost the risk is small for a trial. Still, if you are uneasy about sending footage of yourself to outside services, read the privacy section first or skip it.

What is still unknown?

The sources do not say how long the app stays free or what it will cost afterwards. The listing shows only one rating, a 5.0, so there is little outside feedback on accuracy. The listing also does not say how the scores are produced beyond the description above, so treat the feedback as a guide and not a substitute for a qualified coach, especially where safety is involved.

How do you get it?

Open the FormCheck+ listing in the App Store on your iPhone or iPad, confirm the price shows as Free, and tap Get. If it shows a price instead, the offer has ended.
