Body Log: Calisthenics, an iPhone logbook for bodyweight training such as push ups, pull ups, squats and planks, is free to download on Apple’s App Store. The tip site New Mobile Life reported the offer on October 20, 2026 as a limited time free deal and lists the app’s usual price as US $0.99. We checked the App Store listing, and it shows the app as Free.
The developer’s own release notes go a step further. Version 1.3.0, published on the App Store shortly before the tip, says the app formerly called Rung is now Body Log and that “Everything is free.” Spruzzo Labs adds that no purchase is needed for any feature. An earlier version had made Rung Pro a one-time purchase.
What the app does
Spruzzo Labs describes Body Log as a logbook with no videos, no feed and no account. You set a daily target for each exercise and log reps or holds in a couple of taps.
- Fast logging: daily targets grouped by muscle, plus a hold timer for planks, hangs and wall sits that runs on the Lock Screen
- Personal records: max rep and max hold tests for push ups, pull ups, squats, dips, plank, wall sit and dead hang, and you can add your own tests
- Muscle map: shows which muscles you train and which you skip, with week, month and year views and a heatmap of training days
- Profile: pick training weekdays, list your equipment and track bodyweight in kg or lb. Planned rest days do not break a streak
- Library and export: 325 bodyweight exercises sorted by body area, and every logged set can be exported to CSV
Privacy and requirements
The app works fully offline, and the developer says your data never leaves the phone. The App Store privacy label reads Data Not Collected.
Body Log is built for iPhone and needs iOS 26.0 or later, so older phones that cannot run that version are left out. The listing also names Mac computers with an Apple M1 chip or later on macOS 26.0 or later, and Apple Vision. The download is 6.4 MB and the app is in English only.
How to get it
- Open the App Store on your iPhone.
- Search for Body Log: Calisthenics by Spruzzo Labs Inc.
- Check that the button says Get and that no price is shown.
- Tap Get and confirm with Face ID, Touch ID or your Apple Account password.
The catch
The two sources do not quite agree. The tip site calls it a limited time free offer but gives no end date, while the developer’s notes describe the app as fully free. Neither says the price is locked, so it can change at any time. We confirmed the free price on the US App Store, and prices can differ between countries. The listing does not have enough ratings yet to show a score.
What it means for you
If you train at home or in a park and want a simple log of reps and personal bests without a subscription or a social feed, Body Log is worth a look. The main thing to check first is your iOS version, since the app requires iOS 26.0.
