Look Outside, the survival horror RPG from developer Francis Coulombe, reached consoles on October 30 with versions for PS5, PS4, Switch 2 and Switch. Devolver Digital publishes it, and it has been on PC through Steam since March 21, 2025.
Xbox is not on the list. The French outlet Actugaming noted the console release covers everything except Xbox consoles.
What is Look Outside?
Look Outside is a survival horror RPG set inside a single apartment building. According to the Steam listing, a mysterious event turns anyone who looks out of a window into a grotesque monster, and the world outside falls into chaos.
You scavenge the building for food, supplies and weapons while meeting strange characters, some of whom you can recruit as allies. Steam describes the combat as turn based, with the distance between you and your enemy mattering, and says it features over 150 hand-crafted creatures.

How long is it, and what is in it?
The Steam page says to expect 10 to 12 hours of play, a dozen boss encounters and several different endings. Between expeditions you return to your apartment to cook dinner, craft tools, play games and get to know neighbours who have become allies.
The game has kept receiving PC updates since launch, so the console builds arrive after a long run of fixes and balance changes.
How much does it cost in Canada and the US?
The sources we checked do not list console prices. On Steam, the list price is CDN$ 12.99 in Canada and $9.99 in the US, and the store may show a discount at any time.
For PS5, PS4, Switch 2 and Switch, check the PlayStation Store and Nintendo eShop in your region. Do not assume the console price matches the PC one.

Who it suits
Fans of short, strange RPGs will get the most from it. It is a compact game rather than a sprawling one, and its choices lead to different endings.
Players who like horror with resource management should find the loop of scavenging, crafting and returning home familiar, with tension coming from what you carry out of each trip.
Console owners who skipped the PC release now have a way in on whichever PlayStation or Nintendo system they own.
Anyone who dislikes graphic body horror may want to read the store page first, since Steam describes the style as an impeccable body horror aesthetic.
What is still unknown?
Console prices, physical editions and any console exclusive content were not mentioned in the sources we read. Devolver has also not said in those sources whether the console versions carry every PC update.
The next step is simple: open your console’s store, search for Look Outside, and compare the price and the listed features with the Steam page before buying.
