Stardust: Wish of Witch, a turn based strategy RPG with detailed pixel art, is coming to PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2 in 2027. Publisher Silver Lining Interactive announced the console versions this month, and physical preorders are already open through its own store, Silver Lining Direct.
The game is developed by Kniv Studio and first launched on PC through Steam on May 28, 2026.
What kind of game it is
Stardust: Wish of Witch is a single player tactical RPG played on grid based maps. The story follows Star, a warrior, and her childhood friend Yu, a mage, on a journey tied to a wish granting star.
According to the official descriptions and coverage by Gematsu and Playnews, the main ideas are:
- Turn based battles where skills come from a card system
- Counters and combos that can turn a fight around
- Ultimate skills that play out as full 2D animated scenes
- A party of companions, each with their own personality
The PC version supports nine languages: English, French, German, Spanish, Russian, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese. Korean is the only language with full voice acting, according to the Steam listing.
Release date and editions
There is no exact console release date yet. Gematsu reports a release window of the first quarter of 2027, while Playnews notes that the publisher’s Steam post only says 2027 and promises a date announcement soon.
The console versions come in a physical edition and a digital version. Playnews reports that each physical copy includes a code for the digital soundtrack, and that the UK store lists the PS5 edition at £29.99 and the Switch 2 edition at £44.99 at the time of writing. Console digital prices have not been announced.
What it means for you
If you enjoy tactics games such as grid based strategy RPGs and like collecting physical copies, the Silver Lining Direct preorder is the way to secure a boxed version, though prices outside the UK store have not been published. If you play on PC, there is no need to wait: the full game is already on Steam.
Switch 2 and PS5 owners who prefer digital can simply watch for the release date and store pages, which the publisher says will follow. Since the PC version has been out for months, its Steam store page is also a good way to judge the art style and combat before the console launch.
