Azur Promilia, the fantasy RPG from Azur Lane studio Manjuu, will be playable in English for the first time in summer 2027. The studio announced an English open beta test that will run on a dedicated server based in the United States, timed with the game passing 20 million pre-registrations worldwide.
No exact beta dates have been shared yet, and Manjuu says planning is still under way.
What Azur Promilia is
Azur Promilia is a free to play fantasy world RPG in development for PlayStation 5, PC, iOS and Android. Its main hook is the Kibo, creatures that players bond with and bring along on their journey.
According to the announcement, as reported by Gematsu and Inven Global, Kibo play two roles:
- In combat, they fight beside your characters against enemies and bosses
- At home, they help with chores such as farming, crafting and gathering materials
Players can build teams of characters, each paired with Kibo companions, to try different play styles. The game also moves Manjuu’s character designs into full 3D, a change from the 2D style the studio is known for in Azur Lane.
Where the game stands
Manjuu, a Shanghai studio founded in January 2015, has so far tested Azur Promilia only in Mainland China. Inven Global reports that the studio recently finished its third closed beta there. Until now, the game has never been playable in English.
Alongside the beta news, Manjuu released an English promotional video called Kibo Safari on the game’s official X account. Pocket Gamer also reports the 20 million global pre-registration milestone, and says the English beta plans are still being worked out.
A full release date for any region has not been announced in these sources.
What it means for you
If you play in English, summer 2027 is the first realistic chance to try Azur Promilia, and only as a beta. Betas often reset progress and can have limited slots or regions, so treat it as a preview rather than a launch. Manjuu has not yet said how sign ups will work or which regions can join the US server.
The game is free to play, and Manjuu has not yet detailed in English how it will make money. Players who want to stay informed can follow the official channels for the sign up details and exact beta dates when they arrive.
