The Cosori TurboBlaze, a 6 qt air fryer with a DC motor and 9 cooking functions, is listed at C$129.93 on Amazon.ca at the time of writing, down from a list price of C$169.99. The listing carries a Deal of the Day badge and says 3K+ were bought in the past month.

This is not a new release. Cosori launched the TurboBlaze in fall 2023, and 9to5Toys tested it then. It is back in view because cold weather brings more oven cooking and Black Friday price comparisons, and because the Canadian price has dropped.

What does the TurboBlaze offer?

Cosori’s product page lists these specs:

  • Capacity: 6 qt / 5.7 L, which Cosori says serves 3 to 5 people
  • Power: 1,725W on 120V
  • Temperature: 90°F to 450°F (30°C to 230°C)
  • Timer: 1 min to 24 hr
  • Fan speeds: 5
  • Functions: air fry, roast, bake, broil, dehydrate, frozen, proof, reheat and keep warm
  • Size: 11.8 x 14.4 x 11.9 in including the handle
  • Weight: 13.2 lb / 6 kg
  • Model number on Amazon.ca: CAF-DC601

The 1 min to 24 hr timer range means the same unit can handle a quick reheat or a long, slow dehydrating run. The basket and crisper plate have a PFAS-free ceramic coating and are dishwasher-safe. Cosori backs its products with a 2-year limited warranty, according to its site.

What is the DC motor for?

Cosori describes the TurboBlaze as the first air fryer to use DC motor technology. The motor is what allows the 5 fan speeds, so the same machine can run a gentle setting for proofing dough or dehydrating and a strong one for crisping.

Cosori also claims meals cook up to 46% faster than on its older Pro Gen 2 air fryer, and that you can use up to 95% less oil. Both are company figures measured against Cosori’s own earlier model or against deep frying, not independent tests.

9to5Toys, in its hands-on piece, reported frozen chicken nuggets going from freezer to plate in 9 minutes. It called the fryer “worth every penny” and listed counter space as the only drawback.

Prices

Prices below were checked on the listings at the time of writing and can change at any time.

Where Price
Amazon.ca C$129.93 (listed as 24% off C$169.99)
Amazon.com US$99.99
Cosori US site US$119.99

The C$169.99 figure is Amazon’s own reference price, not a Canadian list price from Cosori. Cosori’s page quotes US dollars and mentions free shipping to the continental US, so Amazon.ca is the practical place for Canadian buyers to look. In the US, the gap between Amazon.com and Cosori’s own site is a difference between two retailers, and the Amazon.com listing title names the same TurboBlaze 6 qt in dark gray. On Amazon.ca, the listing shows 3.7 out of 5 stars from 1457 ratings.

Who it suits

Families and couples who cook for 3 to 5 people. The 6 qt basket is the main reason to pick this model over a smaller one, and the dehydrate and proof settings stretch it beyond fries and nuggets.

People short on counter space. The body is 11.8 x 11.8 x 11.9 in without the handle and weighs 13.2 lb, which is compact for 6 qt, though 9to5Toys still noted it takes up a fair amount of counter.

Anyone who hates scrubbing. Dishwasher-safe parts and a ceramic coating make cleanup simple, according to Cosori and 9to5Toys.

Shoppers wanting an app or smart version. Cosori also sells a separate smart TurboBlaze, and Amazon.ca has other TurboBlaze listings. Check that the model number reads CAF-DC601 before ordering.

What is still unknown?

Cosori has not published a Canadian list price or Canadian warranty terms on the page we read, and the Amazon.ca deal has no stated end date. The 46% speed claim compares the TurboBlaze only with Cosori’s own earlier fryer, so it says little about rival brands.

Before ordering, open the Amazon.ca listing, confirm the price and the model number, and read the Canadian return terms.
