The LEVOIT Classic 160 humidifier is listed at C$59.99 on Amazon.ca on October 28, and Amazon shows it as 3K+ bought in the past month. It is a 2.5 liter ultrasonic cool mist unit that you fill from the top, made by Levoit and sold in Canada through Amazon.ca and Best Buy Canada.
Levoit sells the Classic 160 on its own site at US$29.78 after a 25% discount from US$39.99. That is the US sale price, so Canadian buyers should look at the Amazon.ca figure instead.
Why is the Levoit Classic 160 trending now?
Neither Amazon nor Levoit says why it is selling, but the timing fits the start of the heating season, when indoor air gets dry. Amazon.ca lists the Classic 160 among its Best Sellers in Home, with a label of 800+ bought in the past week. Those Amazon labels are the only sales evidence; Levoit gives no sales figures.

What are the specs?
According to Levoit’s product page, the Classic 160 offers:
- Tank: 2.5 liters, filled from the top without turning it over
- Run time: up to 25 hours on minimum mist, up to 11 hours on maximum mist
- Noise: below 28dB on maximum mist, and as low as 26dB at the lowest setting
- Mist output: 100 ml/h at minimum and 190 ml/h at maximum, both within a stated margin of error
- Controls: a single knob, a 360 degree nozzle and auto shut-off when the tank is empty
- Size and weight: 6.38 inches deep, 7.12 inches wide, 10.14 inches tall, 2.16 lb
The Best Buy Canada listing adds that the mist spreads up to 219 sq ft, which is 20 sq m, and that a water filter sponge and a cleaning brush are included. It runs on standard AC 120V power. Levoit gives the Classic 160 a 2 year limited warranty and a 30 day money back guarantee on its own store.

How much does it cost in Canada?
Amazon.ca shows C$59.99 at the time of writing, with no crossed out list price on the page. Best Buy Canada lists the same humidifier as available online only, shipped by VeSync (US) Corporation, but its page does not show a price. In the United States, Levoit’s own store charges US$29.78 at the time of writing, down from a US$39.99 list price. Prices can change at any time.

How does it compare with the Classic 300S?
The Classic 300S is the obvious step up. Levoit lists it at US$79.99 with a 6 L tank, up to 60 hours on low mist, 30dB or less, and control through the VeSync app, Alexa or Google Assistant. Amazon.ca shows the 300S at C$99.99. That buys a 6 L tank instead of 2.5 liters, plus app control. If you do not need scheduling or a big room, the smaller unit does the basic job.

Who it suits
Bedrooms and nurseries. The 26dB low setting and the no display lights design that Best Buy Canada describes suit a sleeping room, and the top fill means no flipping a wet tank.
Desks and small spaces. At 10.14 inches tall and 2.16 lb, it moves easily from room to room.
Renters and first time buyers. A single knob keeps it simple. Best Buy Canada says a pre-installed water filter sponge and a cleaning brush come in the box.
Who should wait. Anyone with a living room or open plan space should look at the Classic 300S or another larger unit, because 219 sq ft is a bedroom size. Buyers who want a humidity reading or app schedules will not get either on this model.
What is still unknown?
The pages do not state a Canadian list price, a Canadian warranty term or when the Amazon.ca price might change. Check the Amazon.ca page and Levoit’s product page before ordering, and clean the tank as the manual describes.
