Dreo’s HM311, a 4 litre top fill humidifier, is one of the most bought home items on Amazon.ca right now. On October 21, 2026, the listing ranked #1 in Single Room Humidifiers and #8 across the whole Home category at $47.49, and Amazon showed “4K+ bought in past month”. In the US, Dreo’s own store lists it at US$39.99, and Amazon.com had it at US$35.93 when we checked.

Why it is selling now

Humidifiers climb the charts every fall in Canada. Once furnaces start running, indoor air gets dry, and a small unit for a bedroom or nursery is a simple fix. The HM311 is not a new model, but its price, its large tank and its long record of reviews have kept it at the top of Amazon.ca’s humidifier chart as the cold weather arrives. Humidifiers from Levoit and Homvana also sit in the Home top 30 on the same day, which shows how broad the seasonal rush is.

What you get

According to Dreo, the HM311 is a cool mist ultrasonic humidifier with these specs:

  • 4L water tank, filled from the top so you do not have to flip it over
  • Up to 32 hours of mist on one fill
  • Noise level of 28 dB
  • Effective range of 300 ft²
  • Three mist levels, a tiltable nozzle and a 4-inch mist outlet
  • Touch controls, an ambient light you can switch off and an aroma pad for essential oils
  • Automatic shutoff when the tank runs dry

The Amazon.ca listing adds that the mist can reach up to 40 inches high and that the unit comes with a 12-Month Warranty. Dreo also sells a smart Wi-Fi version, the HM311S, with app and voice control.

Who should buy it, and who should skip it

The HM311 suits a bedroom, a home office or a child’s room within the range Dreo lists. It is a good fit if you want quiet operation at night and fewer refills. It is not a whole home humidifier, so it will not fix dry air across a large open floor plan.

Like other ultrasonic models, it works best with clean water. Dreo says filtered water helps prevent limescale and white dust, so plan on regular cleaning, especially if your tap water is hard. A cheap hygrometer helps you see whether the room actually needs more moisture.

How it compares with the Levoit Classic 160

The closest rival on the same chart is the Levoit Classic 160, which ranked #2 in Single Room Humidifiers on Amazon.ca at $44.98. Levoit lists it at US$29.78 on its US store, down from US$39.99. It is smaller, with a 2.5 litre tank that runs up to 25 hours on its lowest setting, and it uses a simple knob instead of touch buttons. Levoit gives it a 2-year limited warranty.

For a few dollars more in Canada, the Dreo holds more water and runs longer between refills. The Levoit makes more sense for a small room or a crowded nightstand.

Prices and availability

Both models are sold on Amazon.ca and Amazon.com. The prices above are the ones shown at the time of writing and can change at any time.
