The Anker soundcore Boom 2 portable speaker, model A3138, is C$132.99 on Amazon.ca at the time of writing. Anker’s Canadian page lists it at CA$179.99, which makes the Amazon price 26 percent lower, as the Amazon page shows.
Amazon.ca has it in stock, sold by AnkerDirect-CA and shipped by Amazon. The listing carries the Amazon’s Choice badge and a rating of 4.7 out of 5 stars from 9,145 ratings. The page shows no end date for the price, so treat it as something that can change at any time.
What does the Boom 2 offer?
Anker’s product page describes a bass-focused outdoor speaker. The key points it lists:
- Sound: 80W max output, with a racetrack subwoofer and 2.1 stereo
- BassUp 2.0: raises output from 60W to 80W max when you turn it on
- Battery: 24 hours of playback on a single charge
- Power bank: a built-in power bank charges your phone
- Water resistance: IPX7 waterproof and floatable
- App: customizable pro EQ
- Linking: PartyCast 2.0 connects up to 100+ speakers
SoundGuys reported similar basics in July 2026: IPX7, floating, 24 hours of playtime depending on volume and whether bass boost and the lights are on, a bass-heavy sound, stereo pairing, app control and built-in lighting. It rated the buyer reviews at 4.6 stars at the time.
Is the discount real?
Yes, against Anker’s own price. Anker’s Canadian page lists the speaker at CA$179.99, the same figure Amazon shows as the list price. That matches the maker, which is the comparison we use for store deals rather than a store’s own crossed out price.
SoundGuys covered a US deal for the speaker at $90.99, down from a $129.99 RRP, and said that was not the lowest price ever. Those figures are in US dollars for the US store, so they are not a Canadian price, but they show the speaker has been discounted more than once.
Anker’s Canadian page also shows a Use Coupon to Save CA$47.00 offer. We could not confirm its terms, so compare the Amazon price with the Anker price after any coupon before you buy.
Prices
At the time of writing, Amazon.ca lists the Boom 2 at C$132.99 against a C$179.99 list price. Anker’s Canadian page shows CA$179.99 with the coupon offer noted above. We found no US price on the pages we checked for this story, apart from the SoundGuys deal figures. Prices can change at any time.
Who it suits
Backyard and beach regulars. The IPX7 rating and the floating design suit a speaker that lives near water, and the 24 hour battery covers a long afternoon, according to Anker.
Campers and road trippers. The built-in power bank can top up a phone.
Bass lovers. Anker’s pitch is the 80W max output and a racetrack subwoofer. SoundGuys described a bass-heavy sound.
Who should skip it. If you want a small speaker for a desk or a shelf, an 80W party speaker is more than you need, and its size may not fit your plans.
What should you check before buying?
Look at the model number. This story covers the Boom 2, model A3138, and Anker also sells a Boom 2 Plus under a different listing, so make sure the page you land on matches. Confirm that the seller shown is AnkerDirect-CA, as it was when we checked.
Keep in mind that the Amazon’s Choice badge is Amazon’s own label, not a test result. The rating of 4.7 out of 5 comes from buyers, and SoundGuys’ separate figure of 4.6 stars also reflects buyer ratings. Neither one replaces a listen in person if sound quality matters to you.
What is still unknown?
The pages we read do not list the weight of the speaker, and runtime varies with volume, bass boost and lights. Check the Amazon.ca page for today’s price and the Anker Canada page for any coupon before you order.
