What the power bank offers

According to the Amazon.ca listing, this is a 10,000mAh Qi2-certified magnetic power bank in a slim body. The listing gives its size as 0.58 x 2.78 x 4.09 inches and says it can charge an iPhone 15 Pro up to 1.8 times. It has a 15W max wireless charging pad and a 30W max USB-C port.

The body has a matte finish, a metal frame and aerogel thermal insulation meant to keep it cool. The box includes a 60 cm USB-C to USB-C cable and a 24-month warranty, and the power bank comes in Black or White.

TechRadar reviewed the Slim model and called it “a well-built and strong-gripping MagSafe battery pack”. The reviewer liked the fast charging and the strong magnetic grip, and also noted that it is heavier than expected and on the pricey side. That last point is what the lower Amazon.ca price helps with.

What it means for you

This is a good fit for iPhone owners who want a battery that snaps onto the back of the phone and stays thin enough for a pocket. Amazon’s listing says it is optimized for the iPhone 12, 13, 14 and 15 series. It can charge Android phones, but they will not support the magnetic feature or the full 15W.

Before you buy:

  • Check your phone’s compatibility, since the magnetic charging is built around recent iPhones
  • Pick the colour you want, Black or White, and confirm the price shown for it
  • Remember it is a 10,000mAh battery, so expect roughly 1.8 charges for an iPhone 15 Pro, not unlimited use
  • Compare the price with anker.com/ca on the day you order, because both stores can change prices without notice
