Amazon.ca lists the Breville Barista Express BES870XL in Brushed Stainless Steel at C$749.98, according to the product page we checked on October 28, 2026. Breville’s Canadian store lists the Barista Express at C$999.99.
Amazon.ca is both the seller and the shipper of this offer, and the page showed the machine as in stock. It does not give an end date, so treat the price as one that can change at any time. This is the new machine. Amazon.ca also shows separate Warehouse Deals offers for used units, at C$670.62 when we looked, and those are not the same deal.
What do you get with the Barista Express?

- Extraction: low pressure pre-infusion, then 9 bar extraction from a 15 bar Italian pump

- Milk: manual steam wand for microfoam
- Controls: 1 and 2 shot buttons with volumetric shot control, or manual control
- Size: 15.9 x 13.1 x 12.4 in (40.5 x 33.4 x 31.6 cm)
The box includes a Dosing Funnel attachment, a razor dose trimming tool, 1 cup and 2 cup single wall and dual wall filter baskets, an integrated tamper, a stainless steel milk jug, cleaning tools and a water filter with its holder.

How does C$749.98 compare with the list price?
The fair comparison is the maker’s own price, not a crossed out figure on a store page. Breville Canada lists the Barista Express at C$999.99, against C$749.98 at Amazon.ca.
| Machine | Where | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Barista Express BES870XL | Amazon.ca | C$749.98 |
| Barista Express | Breville Canada | C$999.99 |
| Bambino Plus BES500 | Breville Canada | C$649.99 |
| Bambino BES450 | Breville Canada | C$449.99 |
The smaller Bambino models are cheaper still, but Breville’s pages for them do not list a built in grinder, so the Barista Express is the one to look at if you want to grind fresh beans in the same machine. Prices are the figures shown at the time of writing.

Who it suits
People who want one machine for grinding and brewing. The built in grinder, the manual steam wand and the volumetric shot buttons make this a hands on machine for home baristas who are happy to learn dosing, tamping and milk texturing. If you currently buy ground coffee or pods and want to step up, this is the kind of machine the discount makes easier to justify.
Buyers who want a push button routine. Breville’s own wording stresses a manual, hands on process. If you want the machine to texture milk automatically, or you only drink one or two coffees a week, a cheaper model or a simple pod machine may fit better, and the money saved goes a long way on beans.
What to check before buying. Make sure the listing is the Brushed Stainless Steel BES870XL sold by Amazon.ca, not a used Warehouse Deals offer. Confirm that the box contents match what you expect, since Breville lists a tamper, filter baskets, a milk jug and a water filter. Allow counter space too: the machine measures 15.9 x 13.1 x 12.4 in (40.5 x 33.4 x 31.6 cm) and has a bean hopper on top, so check your cabinet clearance.

What is still unknown
Amazon.ca does not say how long the price will last or how many units are available. We have not tested the machine, and we cannot say whether other colours will be reduced to the same level. We did not check delivery times, which Amazon shows at checkout.
