Nanoleaf’s Canadian store lists its Smart Holiday String Lights (Matter Wi-Fi, 300 LEDs) at $79.99 CAD on October 30, 2026, against a regular price of $199.99 CAD shown on the same product page. In the United States the same lights show $74.99 at Nanoleaf’s own store and at Amazon.com, against a $149.99 list price.

These are Matter smart lights with individually addressable LEDs, sold for indoor and outdoor decorating through the holiday season and beyond. The Canadian page does not show an end date for the price.

What are the Nanoleaf Smart Holiday String Lights?

The set has 300 LEDs on a string of 78.8ft (24 m), according to the packaging and the Amazon title. Nanoleaf says each LED can be addressed on its own, so the lights can run animated colour flows instead of the static colours and simple presets of ordinary holiday strings.

The maker lists over 16 million colors plus tunable whites from 2700K to 6500K. A built-in microphone lets the lights react to music, and Sync+ is meant to coordinate effects with other compatible Nanoleaf products.

For outdoor use, Nanoleaf rates the string lights IP44 and the controller IP67. The product page describes them as suited to a holiday tree, a room, a patio or a railing.

Does it work with Apple Home and Google Home?

Nanoleaf says Matter lets the lights connect to compatible smart home platforms, with more flexible control and automation than a standalone controller. The Amazon.com listing says the lights work with Apple Home and Google Home, and also mentions app and voice control.

Because this is a Matter over Wi-Fi model, you will need a Wi-Fi network and a compatible home app.

Prices

At the time of writing, Nanoleaf’s Canadian store (nanoleaf.me, Canada) shows $79.99 CAD for the 300 LEDs option, with $199.99 CAD as the regular price. That regular price is Nanoleaf’s own figure, and the store had many other products marked down the same day, so treat the size of the discount with some caution.

In the US, Nanoleaf’s store shows $74.99 against a regular $149.99 for the 300 LEDs option. Amazon.com lists the set at $74.99, marks it 50 percent off a $149.99 list price, and shows it as sold by Nanoleaf USA and shipped by Amazon. We did not find this exact set on Amazon.ca at the time of writing.

Neither store gives an end date, so prices can change at any time. Check the cart for shipping and taxes before you decide.

What should you check before ordering?

Choose the 300 LEDs option on the Canadian page so that the price matches what is shown here. Confirm that your Wi-Fi network works with Matter devices, and think about where the controller will sit, since Nanoleaf rates it for outdoor use but you still need a power outlet nearby.

If you plan to run the lights around a doorway or porch, measure first. At 78.8ft, the string covers a lot of ground, but Nanoleaf does not say in the pages we read how many trees or rooms one set is meant to cover.

Who it suits

Apple Home and Google Home households get the clearest benefit, since Matter support lets the lights sit alongside other devices and be controlled by schedules or voice instead of a separate remote.

Anyone dressing a tree or a mantel will like the animated colour effects and the music reaction, which are the main reasons to pick this over a plain string of fixed colour bulbs.

People decorating a patio or railing can use the IP44 string and IP67 controller ratings as a starting point, though the maker’s ratings are its own claims and it is worth reading the product page on how to mount the lights outdoors.

Budget minded shoppers will see a gap of $199.99 CAD down to $79.99 CAD. Whether it is a bargain depends on how often Nanoleaf’s store runs sales, which we cannot judge from one day of prices.

What is still unknown?

Nanoleaf has not given an end date for the sale in either country. Power draw and the number of sets that can be linked were not stated on the pages we read, and shipping costs and delivery dates depend on your address. The Nanoleaf Canada product page is the place to check the current price and stock.
