Arrowhead Game Studios has laid out how Helldivers 2 will mark Liberty Day on October 26, 2026, the in-universe holiday that is now in its third year. The plan, published on the PlayStation Blog, covers a free rifle for active players, ship decorations, community minigames and new merchandise.

The free rifle and the ship makeover

This year’s gift is the AR-23L Liberator Legacy, a retro take on the weapons used in the First Galactic War. It is handed out at the end of Liberty Day, at 23:59 CET on October 26, 2026. To get it, a player must have played since September 26, 2026, at 00:00 CET, so the gift is meant for people who have been active recently.

For 24 hours, Super Destroyers also get holiday adornments such as banners, rugs and party supplies. The studio calls them new regulations for the day, and they disappear when the celebration ends.

Minigames, merch and parties

Three community minigames return, and all of them are limited to members of the official Helldivers 2 Discord server:

  • Minidivers: players send emoji stratagem codes in chat to stop waves of enemies.
  • Adopt-a-SEAF: each player receives a blueberry to look after and send on missions.
  • Oath of Enlistment: players receive a copy of their oath. A fourth activity, Raise the Flag, has everyone salute in chat together.

The Super Merch Store gets new Liberty Day items today. Players who finish selected in-game achievements before February 28, 2027 can unlock items for purchase: reaching Level 100 and earning the Hell Commander title unlocks the Hell Commander Pin, and completing 75 missions unlocks the Private Teddy Snuggles Plush. Orders must be placed between August 12, 2026 and March 31, 2027, with a limit of one per player.

Outside the game, Displate has a Display Shards collection of six limited edition metal collectibles plus Liberty Day metal posters. FiGGYZ opens pre-orders on November 20 for a numbered collector’s box set with four pixel-art magnetic figures. Arrowhead also offers a downloadable Liberty Day Party Pack with games, decorations, recipes and printable Helldiver helmets.

What it means for readers

If you have not played in the last month, log in and play as soon as you can to check whether you qualify, because the rifle goes out at one fixed moment. The studio’s time is CET, so work out when 23:59 CET falls in your own time zone.

Newcomers have two routes in. Helldivers 2 is part of the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog with a PlayStation Plus Extra membership on PS5, and it can also be bought at the PlayStation Store. Gameplay needs an internet connection and a paid PlayStation Plus membership.

The sources do not say anything specific about Canada. The Super Merch details note that items cannot ship where US regulations prohibit it, and that the plush cannot ship to Japan at this time, so check the merchandise terms before ordering.
