With the first snowfall close for much of Canada and the northern US, Snow Joe’s 48V 18-inch cordless snow blower kit is one of the models showing up in fall deal roundups. Bob Vila, in an article dated October 7, 2026, called the kit “one of our favorite deals” while Amazon cut prices ahead of Prime Big Deal Days.

Here is what the maker and that outlet report.

The Amazon price

Bob Vila listed the Snow Joe 48V 18-Inch Cordless Snow Blower Kit at $329.99, down from $428.99, in US dollars. It says the kit comes with two batteries and a charger, and advises storing the batteries indoors because cold drains them fast. The outlet’s description mentions an 18-inch clearing path and an adjustable discharge chute.

Note that the Amazon price was higher than the $299.99 shown on Snow Joe’s own store, so compare both before you buy.

Is it worth it

A single stage, 18 in machine suits a driveway, deck or walkway, which is how Snow Joe positions similar kits for light, fluffy snow. The numbers above show a battery pair with a quick charger and a respectable throw distance for the size. What the sources do not give is runtime, so heavy, wet snow or a long driveway is where you should read owner reviews before committing.

The kit also saves you gas, oil and a pull cord. If you already own other 24V IONMAX tools, check whether the batteries are interchangeable with this platform.

What it means for you

Both prices are in dollars with no currency named, and neither source states Canadian pricing or availability. Canadian readers should check Snow Joe’s Canadian listing and Amazon.ca for CAD prices and stock before the snow arrives. US readers can compare the $299.99 and $329.99 figures directly. Prices can change at any time.
