Greenworks Canada lists its Pro 80V 20-inch brushless snow blower, with a 2.0Ah battery and charger included, at C$535.49 at the time of writing. The same product page shows a regular price of C$629.99. Prices can change at any time, and the page gives no end date for the lower figure.

Cordless snow blowers are a seasonal rush item. Équipement Polar, a Canadian retailer, says demand for battery models rises sharply from October and peaks in November, and that popular models may sell out in mid-winter. That is a retailer’s view, but it matches the timing of this sale.

What you get

This is a single-stage machine, so one impeller picks up the snow and throws it. According to Greenworks, the key figures are:

  • 80V battery platform, 2.0Ah battery and charger in the box
  • 1.4kW brushless motor, up to 1900 RPM
  • 20” clearing path and 10” clearing depth
  • Chute that rotates 180° and a 45° adjustable deflector
  • Built-in LED lights, 7” rear wheels and a folding frame for storage
  • 4-year limited warranty covering the tool and the battery

Greenworks says one charge can clear up to a 5 car driveway and that the battery recharges in up to 30 minutes. Those are the maker’s claims, not independent test results, and real runtime depends on how deep and wet the snow is.

Cold weather and the battery

Greenworks gives one practical tip for Canadian winters. For best performance, keep the battery at room temperature, between 16°C and 23°C, and if the machine will not start, let the battery warm up and try again. Équipement Polar adds that recent lithium-ion models reportedly start right away in extreme cold, though capacity drops slightly below 0°C.

What it means for buyers

Équipement Polar says attachments and single-stage models suit light to moderate snow, while two-stage models are the pick for large driveways, heavy wet snow and plow piles. A 10” clearing depth puts this model in the first group.

For comparison, the retailer’s guide lists the Snow Joe 24V-X2-SB18 single-stage at about C$590 and the Makita SN001GL101 single-stage at C$1,099. Two-stage battery models in the same guide run much higher, including the Greenworks Pro 82V at C$1,995 and the EGO SNT2405 at C$1,999. Those prices were recorded on September 24, 2026 and vary by retailer.

The 80V battery is also useful beyond snow, since Greenworks says the single port accepts its 80V batteries, so owners of that platform may already have a compatible pack.

US shoppers

In the United States, 9to5Toys reported on October 14 that an Amazon listing for the Greenworks 80V 20-inch model with a larger 4.0Ah battery hit $449.99 shipped, against a regular price of $530. The outlet called it an all-time low, noted that stock has been in and out all year, and marked that offer as expired. US buyers should check the current listing, since the battery size differs from the Canadian kit.

Who should skip it

If you clear a long driveway after heavy, wet storms, the sources point toward a two-stage machine instead. Check current stock and the final price at checkout before you plan around this sale.
