The AstroAI L7 cordless tire inflator is listed at C$32.99 on Amazon.ca at the time of writing, and it is the number 1 item in Wheel & Tire Air Compressors there. On Amazon.com the same model was $25.99 at the time of writing.
It is a handheld pump with a 150 PSI maximum and a 4000mAh battery, made for car tires, bike tires and balls. Here is what AstroAI and the Amazon listing say about it, what it costs, and who should look elsewhere.
What does the AstroAI L7 offer?
The L7 is a small rechargeable pump with a digital display. AstroAI’s own pages and the Amazon.ca listing give these figures:
- Maximum pressure: 150 PSI
- Battery: 4000mAh, charged over USB-C
- Weight: less than 1 pound
- Airflow: 17 LPM, according to AstroAI’s Canadian store
- Noise: 80 dB, according to AstroAI’s Canadian store
- Sensor: samples pressure 200 times per second
- Modes: car, motorcycle, bicycle, ball and custom, with a custom range of 3 to 150 PSI
- Units: PSI, Bar, kPa and kg/cm²
- Extras: auto shut-off at the target pressure, an LED light and a power bank function

How fast is it, and how long does a charge last?
AstroAI says the L7 refills a 195/65R15 tire from 30 to 36 PSI in about 1.5 minutes. A full charge is rated for up to 8 tires of that size, and the Amazon listing asks users to let the unit rest for 10 minutes after 15 minutes of continuous use.
These are the maker’s ratings, not lab results. Gizmodo, which covered a sale on the inflator in late September, adds two limits: it is not meant for a completely flat car tire or for heavy-duty truck tires. The same outlet notes the battery needs a top-up every couple of months, even when the pump sits unused.

Why is it a top seller now?
Amazon.ca ranks the L7 number 14 in the whole Automotive category, and Gizmodo called it Amazon’s best-selling tire inflator in the US. The timing fits the start of winter tire season, when many drivers swap tires and check pressures at home. A pump that fits in a glove box and runs without a cord is an easy add to that routine.

AstroAI’s Canadian store lists a version with two batteries at $69.99, and the page does not show the currency. Prices on Amazon can change at any time, so check the listing before you order.

Who it suits
City drivers and commuters: If you only top up your own tires a few times a season, the L7 saves a trip to a gas station air machine. At under a pound it is light enough to keep in the car.
Cyclists and families with bikes: AstroAI lists support for 700x23C road tires up to 29×2.25 mountain bike tires, plus e-bike tires, and the preset modes include bicycle and ball. One small pump can cover the whole garage.
Pickup and truck owners: Skip it. Heavy-duty tires are outside what the L7 is meant to handle, and a corded 12 V compressor is a better fit for that job.
Anyone who forgets to charge things: Plan a reminder. Gizmodo says the battery needs charging every couple of months, and a dead pump is no use at the side of the road.
What is still unknown?
None of the sources test the L7 in freezing weather, so how the battery and pump behave in a Canadian January is not covered. Warranty terms for Canadian buyers are also not spelled out in the pages we read. The speed and battery numbers come from AstroAI, and the price may drop or rise before Black Friday.
Next step: open the Amazon.ca listing, confirm the price and the color, and read AstroAI’s product page for the full specs before buying.
