Shipment is now live in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. The small 6v6 map went live on October 27, four days after the game launched on October 23, and Gamingtrend reports that it is a pre-season bonus for all players.
Infinity Ward had given the date in advance. The official Call of Duty blog said Shipment would arrive “shortly after launch on October 27”, so the map came on schedule.
When did Shipment arrive in Modern Warfare 4?
It arrived on October 27, 2026. The official launch maps and modes post, dated October 21, listed Shipment as a post-launch map and named that date. Gamingtrend then reported on October 27 that the map was available now.
Smash Jump described the update as coming roughly four days after launch, and noted that the map is usually added weeks later to lift player numbers. None of the pages we read gives a clock time for the update, so players should restart the game and check the multiplayer menu.

What is the Shipment map like?
According to the official blog, this is what the returning map offers:
- Setting: a Russian harbor, hemmed in between the water and the concrete panel buildings of the urban landscape around it
- Type: a Core 6v6 multiplayer map
- Look: a classic layout and appearance, enhanced by the visual and gameplay improvements of Modern Warfare 4
The blog introduced it with the line “Shipment returns!” Smash Jump adds that the map has been part of the series since 2007 and was also used in the 2019 reboot, which is why many players already know it by heart.
What else is in Modern Warfare 4 multiplayer?
Shipment joins a launch lineup that the official blog describes as a dozen Core 6v6 maps, three large Ground War maps and four 2v2 Gunfight maps. There is also Kill Block, a modular battleground that supports 3v3 and 10v10 Gunfight.
The launch modes include several new ones: Inflation, Hijack, Collateral and Combat Outpost. The blog also says two more modes, Possession and Infected, arrive in the lead up to Season 1 for Halloween.
Will Shipment be a 24/7 playlist?
Gamingtrend’s summary says the map returns as a 24/7 variant for the camo grind. The official blog does not describe playlists, so the exact rotation, and which modes can be played on Shipment, are best checked in the game’s playlist menu.

Prices
None of the sources we read lists a price for Shipment, in Canadian or US dollars. Gamingtrend calls it a pre-season bonus for all players, and the official blog mentions no separate charge. Pricing for the base game is not given in those pages, so check your platform’s store for the current price in Canada or the United States. The sources do not say anything specific about Canadian availability.
Who it suits
Camo grinders. Gamingtrend says the map is especially handy for people working on challenges or grinding camos. A small map with constant action fits that kind of goal.
Series veterans. The official blog says the layout and look are true to form. Anyone who played the original in 2007 or the 2019 version should feel at home straight away.
Players who prefer slower matches. Gamingtrend calls the map pure chaos. If that is not your style, the large Ground War maps or the 2v2 Gunfight maps in the same game offer very different play.
New players. Shipment is quick to learn because there is little ground to cover. It is also a harsh place to find your feet, since enemies are never far away.
What is still unknown?
The sources do not say how long Shipment will stay in rotation, whether it appears in every mode, or exactly when the update went live on October 27. A separate report about a settings change in the game could not be confirmed from the pages we could read, so it is not covered here.
