Shipment, the tiny container map that Call of Duty players never stop asking for, went live in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 on October 27, 2026, four days after the shooter launched. The official Call of Duty blog describes it as a fan-favorite small 6v6 map set on a Russian harbor, and Gaming Trend reports it arrived as a pre-season bonus for all players.

The map is not the only thing on the schedule. The same official post lays out the launch maps and modes, and says two more modes are coming before Season 1.

What is Shipment, and how do you play it?

Shipment is a small 6v6 map set on a Russian harbor, according to the official blog. Gaming Trend says it returns with the visual upgrades and gameplay improvements of the new game, and that the staple camo grind comes back as a 24/7 variant.

That 24/7 playlist is the part many players will care about, since it keeps the map in constant rotation. Gaming Trend did not give a schedule or rules for it, and the official post we read does not either. Check the playlist menu in the game for the current list.

What else is in Modern Warfare 4 at launch?

The official launch post names the maps by mode:

  • Core 6v6: Cachette, Coal, Lithium, Lotus, Mumbai, Munition, Nautical, Reactor U92, Rooftops, Sentry, Silkworm and more
  • Ground War: Imjin Farmland, Wolves Stadium and Forest
  • Gunfight: Cafe, Library, NYC and Smuggler
  • Kill Block: a modular map used for Gunfight

New modes at launch include Inflation and Hijack in the respawn playlists, Collateral in the round-based tactical group and Combat Outpost in Ground War. Possession (new) and Infected (returning) are planned ahead of Season 1, timed for Halloween, according to the same post.

What does it cost in Canada and the US?

On Steam in Canada, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is listed at CDN$ 89.99. A Vault Edition and a Vault Edition Upgrade are also listed. In the United States, Steam lists the standard game at $69.99.

The official blog gives a launch date of October 23, while Steam shows October 22 for its listing. The sources do not explain the one day gap. Console prices were not in the sources we read, so check the PlayStation Store, Xbox Store or Nintendo eShop, or a retailer such as Amazon.ca, for your platform.

Gaming Trend lists the game for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Nintendo Switch 2. These are the prices shown on Steam at the time of writing, and they can change at any time.

Who it suits

Camo grinders. Gaming Trend points to Shipment as useful for challenges and camo grinding, so the 24/7 variant is the main reason to log in this week.

Short session players. A small map keeps fights close together, which suits a quick match more than a long Ground War battle.

Returning fans of older games. Shipment is the familiar face in a new game with a new set of launch maps, so it is the easiest place to compare how the new version feels.

Who should wait. If you are on the fence about paying CDN$ 89.99 or $69.99, one returning map does not change the full launch content much. Season 1 and the Halloween modes may be a better moment to look again.

What is still unknown?

The official post we read does not give a Season 1 date, details of the Shipment 24/7 playlist or any further map plans. Platform details beyond the Steam listing came from Gaming Trend rather than from Activision. Gaming Trend says the arrival was confirmed by an official Call of Duty post on X on October 27, 2026.
