Cyberpunk 2077 update 2.5 arrived on October 22, 2026, and it brings a new side quest, a new radio station, console mod support and DLSS 4.5 to Night City. CD PROJEKT RED built the Edgerunners 2 content around the new season of the anime, and the download is close to 11GB on PS5, according to Push Square.
None of the sources we read lists a price for the update, and none says anything about Canadian availability or Canadian retailers. The sections below cover what changes and who will notice it most.
What Edgerunners 2 content does the update add?
The headline addition is a side quest called Clampdown, set before the events of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2. To unlock it, finish The Heist and two gigs for Wakako, then wait for her message.

- A new radio station, HKGN 102.0 FM, with tracks from the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners series
- 4 new TWINTONE skins for the Quadra Turbo-R V-Tech, handed out through Twitch Drops
What else is new in Night City?
A second side quest, Welcome to Paradise, unlocks after The Heist once V reaches level 15 Street Cred. Richard Night narrates a guided tour of the city.
The Fool on the Hill quest also grows. There are 12 new Minor Arcana Tarot cards, the Tarot menu now separates Major and Minor Arcana, and scanning any new card starts the quest. Collecting them all earns a special reward.
What changes for gear, cyberware and combat?
Five new outfit sets are sold by clothing vendors: Maxiwear (Heywood, Arroyo, Little China), Jinguji (City Center), NetWatch (Kabuki, Japantown) and IconAmerica (Pacifica, Badlands, Northside). A fifth set has been announced for later without a name. The NUS Infiltrator clothing set can now be bought in Kabuki and Japantown, and some hairstyles that were once reserved for NPCs are open to V, with a few tied to feminine or masculine body types.
You can now customize the look of hand cyberware, including Mantis Blades, Gorilla Arms, Monowire and the Projectile Launch System. Five Glamdocs, marked with a spray paint icon on the map, offer cyberware skins with colours you pick. Each has its own shop, intro scene and voiceover.
On the combat side, a new Double Trouble perk in the Cool tree, plus four auxiliary perks, lets V dual-wield Pistols and Revolvers from the Power category. Photo Mode gains Trading Card Game frames and new dual-wielding poses.
How does mod support work?
Cross-platform mod support runs on mod.io and is reached from the in-game menu, where players can browse and install a selection of mods. More are planned. GamingOnLinux lists PC, Mac, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2 as supported.
Modded saves carry a dedicated icon. On console, trophies and achievements cannot be earned from a modded save.
What are the technical and quality of life changes?
- DLSS 4.5, with up to 6X Multi Frame Generation, Dynamic Multi Frame Generation and the 2nd Generation Transformer Model
- Improved HDR colour, brightness and contrast
- Glasses-free 3D on compatible Samsung Odyssey 3D monitors, with a Motion Comfort setting
- MetalFX Frame Interpolation on Mac and an FSR Anti-Lag 2 toggle
- FSR 3 upscaling removed, while FSR 2.1, FSR 4 and FSR 3.1 Frame Generation stay
- A field of view slider on consoles, saves grouped by playthrough, and item filters for apartment and vehicle stashes
- Fixes including a Nintendo Switch 2 “insufficient space” save error, PS5 HDR settings that did nothing, and a Delamain cab that could block quest progress
Prices
No price is listed for update 2.5 in the sources, in Canadian or US dollars. If you already own the game on a supported platform, check your store’s update page. Canadian pricing and retailers have not been mentioned.
Who it suits
Edgerunners fans. Clampdown, the King gear and HKGN 102.0 FM are the clearest reasons to come back, especially if you watched the new season.
Players who like to tinker. Mod support on consoles is the biggest shift. Check that your platform is on the supported list, and remember that modded saves cannot earn trophies or achievements on console.
PC players with new hardware. DLSS 4.5, the HDR work and the Samsung Odyssey 3D support target recent graphics cards and displays. FSR 3 upscaling users should move to another FSR option.
Players who dress V first. The outfit sets, hairstyles and cyberware skins make this a cosmetic update as much as a story one.
What is still unknown?
The fifth outfit set has no name or date. Instant Gaming reported that PS5, Xbox Series and PC get the update first and that Switch 2 and Mac follow later, while GamingOnLinux lists Switch 2 and Mac among the mod platforms, so confirm your platform’s timing on the official patch notes. Which mods will be offered at launch has not been stated.
