Marvel’s Wolverine, the PS5 exclusive from Insomniac Games, was the top seller in the US for September 2026, according to Circana’s monthly chart as reported by Shattered. The game came out on September 15, 2026, and PlayStation’s US page lists the Standard Edition at $69.99.

What the sales chart shows

Circana’s September period ran from August 30 through October 3, 2026, a five-week retail month. The chart covers physical and full-game digital dollar sales in the US, and leaves out mobile games and add-on content. The top three were:

  • Marvel’s Wolverine
  • NBA 2K27
  • EA Sports FC 27

Circana analyst Mat Piscatella said Wolverine had the highest launch month full-game dollar sales for a Sony published title since Helldivers II, Shattered reported. The game sits at No.

Sony has not released official sales figures. Push Square reported on October 9, 2026 that Ampere Analytics estimated about 2.16 million copies sold in September, while Alinea Analytics predicted 1.9 million copies as of September 17. Push Square said neither should be treated as an official source, and the figures are not directly comparable.

PlayStation lists these US prices:

  • Standard Edition: $69.99

What it means for you in Canada and the US

For US shoppers the prices above come from PlayStation’s US page. The sources we read do not state Canadian pricing or Canadian retailer availability, so check the Canadian PlayStation Store or your retailer before you buy. The game is rated Mature, so it is not aimed at younger players.

Is it worth it?

On the numbers, Wolverine launched strongly: first on Circana’s US chart, ahead of two annual sports games. Whether it suits you comes down to taste and hardware. You need a PS5, and you should be comfortable with an ESRB Mature action game. The Deluxe Edition only adds cosmetic suits and claws, early unlocks and avatars, plus Technique Points, so the Standard Edition covers the game itself. The official page is inconsistent on the Deluxe Technique Point count (four in the edition listing, three in the FAQ), so check the store listing before you pay the extra $10.00 to upgrade.
