NVIDIA has confirmed that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 comes to GeForce NOW at launch, with ray tracing for Ultimate members on newly added RTX 5080-class servers. The news came in the company’s GFN Thursday post on October 22, 2026, which also covers a new way to subscribe on Fire TV and several other games joining the cloud library this week.

What Modern Warfare 4 brings to the cloud

According to NVIDIA, the cloud version includes the campaign, multiplayer and the DMZ extraction mode. The campaign follows Private Park, a young South Korean soldier facing live combat for the first time, while Captain Price runs covert missions on his own. Missions take players to Korea, New York, Paris and Mumbai. Multiplayer offers a dozen core 6v6 maps, and DMZ sends players into contested territory to recover valuable technology.

Ultimate members get the biggest change: ray tracing in the campaign, powered by RTX 5080-class performance. NVIDIA says this works across PCs, Macs, handhelds, mobile devices, browsers and supported TVs. GeForce NOW also handles downloads and installs, so players do not need a local copy of the game.

On timing, NVIDIA’s own game list shows a release on October 23 through the Call of Duty app. Activision’s partners list the same date, and the Call of Duty team said campaign early access went live on October 16 for players who pre-purchased the Standard Digital Edition or Vault Edition.

Fire TV Stick memberships through Amazon

Existing supported Fire TV Stick users can now buy one-month Performance or Ultimate memberships directly through Amazon, using their existing account. Billing runs through Amazon, so there is no separate sign-up step. NVIDIA says an Ultimate membership on a Fire TV Stick brings RTX 5080-powered gaming to the living room TV.

Other games this week

Six games join the library this week: We Were Here Tomorrow, FINAL FANTASY RESONANCE, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, CONTROL Resonant, Crimson Desert and Planet Zoo 2. FINAL FANTASY RESONANCE launches on October 22 on Steam, and The Elder Scrolls Online’s Echoes of Skyrim season, live since October 21, adds the Greymoor Chapter free for Standard Edition owners. NVIDIA notes that availability can vary because games are added throughout the week after release.

What it means for readers in Canada and the US

NVIDIA’s post does not give Canadian or US prices, and the Xbox store page for the game does not mention Canada, so check your local store for editions and pricing. Xbox says the game is not part of Game Pass at launch. You still need to own the game on a supported store, since GeForce NOW streams games you already own. Anyone unsure about cloud gaming can start with a day pass, and NVIDIA says its cost can be applied toward a first monthly membership.
