The DEWALT DWS780 12-inch double bevel sliding compound miter saw is listed at $449 on the Home Depot website in the United States, where the same page shows a crossed out $649. We checked the page on November 8, 2026, and prices at the time of writing can change at any time.

DEWALT positions the DWS780 as a corded slider for trim, framing and deck work, and the Home Depot listing includes a blade wrench and a material clamp. ToolGuyd spotted the price on November 7, 2026, and wrote that the discount looked too good to be true until it checked the page itself.

What does the DWS780 offer?

DEWALT’s own product page lists these specifications:

  • 15 amp brushed motor, rated at 1100 watts and 3,800 RPM
  • Double bevel design with an oversized bevel scale
  • Miters 60 degrees to the right and 50 degrees to the left
  • Stainless steel miter detent plate with 10 positive stops
  • Cuts up to 2x14 dimensional lumber at 90 degrees and 2x10 at 45 degrees
  • Crown molding up to 7-1/2 in nested and base molding up to 6-3/4 in vertically against the fence
  • Integrated XPS cutline positioning system that needs no adjustment
  • Dust collection that DEWALT says captures over 75% of dust generated

According to DEWALT, the tall sliding fences hold crown molding against the fence and slide out of the way when you make bevel cuts. The saw runs on 110V and is corded, so it needs an outlet or a generator.

What is in the box?

The DEWALT page lists a 12-inch carbide blade, a blade wrench, a dust bag and a vertical material clamp. The warranty is a 3 year limited warranty with 1 year of free service and a 90 day satisfaction guarantee, according to DEWALT. The listing does not mention a stand, so plan to buy one separately if you need it.

Prices

  • Home Depot, United States: $449 on November 8, 2026, shown against a crossed out $649
  • DEWALT’s own page: no price listed

Because DEWALT does not publish a price on its page, the list figure comes from the retailer and ToolGuyd. ToolGuyd says the saw is sometimes sold at a full price of $649 and bundled with a free miter saw stand, and that last year’s deal on the same saw was $499. ToolGuyd also said the saw hit a similar price at Amazon a few months ago, in a short deal. We could not confirm today’s Amazon price, so check that listing yourself.

Home Depot’s page shows no end date for the $449 price. All figures here are for the United States in US dollars.

Who it suits

Trim carpenters and remodelers. The 60 degree right and 50 degree left miter range and the 7-1/2 in nested crown capacity cover most baseboard and crown jobs, and the XPS light line saves time lining up a cut.

Deck builders and framers. A 2x14 cut at 90 degrees and a 2x10 cut at 45 degrees means wide boards and common framing lumber fit without flipping the piece.

Home workshop owners. A 12-inch slider is a big saw, but the dust bag, the material clamp and the 3 year limited warranty make it a straightforward first upgrade from a smaller miter saw.

Who should wait or skip. Anyone who needs a cordless saw should look elsewhere, because this one is corded. Buyers outside the United States should check their local DEWALT dealer, since the $449 price applies to the US Home Depot site.

What is still unknown

Home Depot gives no end date and no stock information for the price, and we have not confirmed the Amazon price. DEWALT does not publish a list price on its page, so the $649 figure rests on the store page and ToolGuyd.

Open the Home Depot page before you order and make sure the saw is the DWS780 with the blade wrench and clamp, then compare it with the Amazon listing if you shop there.
