Baby White Noise ProX, an iPhone and iPad app that plays sleep sounds for babies, is listed as free on the App Store. The Hong Kong site New Mobile Life reports a regular price of US $0.99 and says the offer is for a limited time, but no end date has been published.

The app comes from the developer Grzegorz Rakoca, sits in the Health & Fitness category and is rated 4+. Its download size is 150.2 MB.

What does Baby White Noise ProX do?

It plays 13 sounds meant to settle a baby, and you can layer several at once to make a custom mix. According to the App Store listing, the library includes:

  • white, pink and brown noise
  • womb sounds
  • household sounds such as a hair dryer and a vacuum cleaner
  • ocean waves, rain and a forest at night
  • two lullabies, Brahms and Twinkle Twinkle

Each sound has its own volume control. A sleep timer can run for 15 to 120 minutes and fades out gently over the last five minutes. Playback continues with the screen off.

Does it track sleep?

Yes. You create a profile for your baby, and the app records sleep sessions automatically. It then shows weekly statistics so parents can see which sounds seem to work best, and it can export the data to share with a pediatrician.

The interface is dark mode only, with a warm amber night light overlay, which the developer says protects night vision during night feeds.

What is the catch?

The developer’s own description says there are no ads and no subscriptions, and the privacy section states that the developer does not collect any data from the app. The developer has not said how long the free price will last, so the price can return to US $0.99 at any time. The App Store page also notes that the privacy details are provided by the developer and have not been verified by Apple.

The listing says the app has not yet received enough ratings or reviews to show an overview, so there is little user feedback to go on.

Who should download it?

Parents of newborns, babies who wake often, and families who travel with a baby are the groups the developer names. At a regular price of US $0.99 the risk is small, but a sound app is not a substitute for medical advice about infant sleep, and the listing makes no health claims you should rely on without asking your pediatrician.

It requires iOS 18.4 or later on iPhone, iPadOS 18.4 or later on iPad, macOS 15.4 or later on a Mac with an Apple M1 chip or later, or visionOS 2.4 or later.

How to get it

Open the App Store on your device and search for Baby White Noise ProX, then check that the price button reads Get rather than a price before you download. Prices and availability can differ by country, so confirm on your own App Store page.
