Ninja’s first microwave, the Crispi Microwave, cooks with microwave energy and then finishes food with an air fryer in the same box. Ninja put it on sale in the US at a suggested retail price of $449, and TechCrunch ran a hands-on piece on November 2, 2026 that put it back in front of shoppers.
Ninja announced the appliance on July 16, 2026, alongside a dual-zone glass air fryer and a multicooker. It is sold at SharkNinja.com in the US, and a UK and Ireland version carries the model code MW101UK.
What does the Crispi Microwave actually do?
Ninja calls the method FusionCrisp Technology. Food is microwaved first, then air fried with superheated air at up to 450°F, which the company says takes frozen food to crispy in 10 minutes. Ninja also claims full meals come out up to 60% faster than in a conventional oven.
The cooking dish is a 5.5-quart glass basket that Ninja describes as non-toxic and free of PFAS and PTFE. Instead of a rotating plate, the oven has a flat bed. Ninja says that gives 40% more usable surface than a 0.9 cu. ft. turntable microwave and serves eight to 10 people. TechRadar reported that Ninja says the dish fits an 8 lb chicken or four slices of pizza.

What are the specs?
- Microwave power: 1,000W (TechCrunch)
- Air fry power: 1,700W in the US (Ninja); 2,000W on the Irish listing
- Presets: 8 microwave and 5 air fry, with dedicated soup, popcorn and softening butter modes (TechRadar)
- Dish and crisper plate: dishwasher-safe (TechRadar)
- Size listed by TechCrunch: 20.3 x 17.56 x 14.1 inches
The Irish listing for the silver MW101UK gives 13 functions in total, a 5.2L dish, a weight of 18.6 kg and a one year guarantee. It describes the flat bed as offering 20% more usable space, a different figure from the US one, so compare like for like.
How much does it cost?
In the US, Ninja lists a suggested price of $449. TechCrunch gives a list price of $449.99 and noted a $349.99 price at Amazon when it wrote. Retail prices change often, so check the listing before you buy.
In Ireland, the Ninja store listed the silver MW101UK at €419.99 with taxes included, marked as sold out when we checked. Ninja has not announced prices for other countries, and TechRadar reported that international release dates and prices had not been announced.
Who it suits
Small households that reheat a lot. TechCrunch’s reviewer used it for leftover pizza, chicken tenders and fries, the foods a standard microwave tends to leave soft.
People short on counter space who want to drop a second appliance. The unit replaces a microwave and an air fryer, but TechCrunch also noted that it takes up a fair amount of counter space, so measure first.
Cooks who like glass over nonstick. The dish is glass and Ninja says it is PFAS and PTFE free, while the crisper plate is nonstick according to TechCrunch.
Buyers who already own a good air fryer or a combination oven. Samsung, Smeg and IKEA also sell microwave and air fryer combinations, according to TechRadar, so the Ninja is one choice among several.
What is still unknown?
Ninja has not published long-term reliability data, and the speed claims come from the company’s own comparisons. Pricing and availability outside the US, the UK and Ireland have not been stated, and wattage and some specs differ between regional listings.
Next step
Compare the SharkNinja.com price with the current Amazon listing, then check the model code against your region before ordering. Measure the cabinet or counter space for the 20.3 x 17.56 x 14.1 inch footprint.
