Fujifilm’s Instax Mini Evo 2 is a hybrid instant camera and printer with a 4.5-inch touchscreen, priced at $289.95 in the US and expected toward the end of November 2026. Fujifilm’s regional site labels it new and lists 10 lens effects and 10 film effects, which add up to 100 combinations.
Coverage dated October 27 and 28, 2026 put the price at $289 to $290, depending on rounding. The first Evo launched at $199 in 2021, according to RedShark News.
What is new compared with the first Evo?
The screen grows from 3.0 inches to 4.5 inches and, for the first time in the Instax line, it responds to touch, Fujifilm says. The sensor is a 1/2.77-inch type, larger than the one in the original, and the lens is a 21mm equivalent at f/2.0 instead of 28mm.
Two shooting aids stand out. Expanded View shows a wider area than the 46 x 62 mm print frame, so you can compose with room to spare. Immersive Movie records 4 seconds before each photo, which the camera saves as a short clip.
- Screen: 4.5-inch LCD touchscreen, 1.23 million dots (RedShark News)
- Lens: 21mm equivalent, f/2.0
- Stills: 2144 x 2860, or 3100 x 4128 with a microSD card and Expanded View off
- Memory: about 45 shots internally, plus a microSD slot
- Prints: 600 dpi on 2 x 3-inch instax mini film, about 14 seconds per print
- Battery: about 90 prints per charge, charged over USB Type-C
- Size and weight: 87.5 x 125.3 x 43.7 mm, 330 g
Controls include physical dials, a print lever, adjustable exposure, white balance and flash, a macro mode and a selfie mirror. The free instax mini Evo app handles phone printing and remote shooting.
How much does it cost and when does it arrive?
The US price is $289.95, with the camera expected toward the end of November, according to YMCinema and RedShark News. Film is sold separately, and Immersive Movie clips need a microSD card because they cannot be saved to internal memory.
Fujifilm’s regional page offers a Buy Now link but gives no price or date. The sources we read give no prices or dates for Europe, Japan or other regions, so readers outside the US should wait for Fujifilm’s local announcement.
Who it suits
Snapshot fans who want a printed photo on the spot. The camera prints 2 x 3-inch instax mini film in about 14 seconds, so a shot can be handed over while the moment is still fresh.
Owners of the first Evo deciding whether to upgrade. The larger touchscreen, wider lens and Expanded View are the clear changes, but the battery rating drops to about 90 prints per charge from about 100, per RedShark News.
Phone photographers who like tactile controls. The 100 effect combinations are set with dials rather than menus, and the app adds remote shooting and phone printing.
Anyone hoping for a video camera. Immersive Movie clips are short, and YMCinema notes the camera is not meant for professional filmmaking. The Evo Cinema records 15-second clips.
What is still unknown?
Sensor resolution is reported two ways: about 13MP by YMCinema, and 6.1 MP by default or 12.8 MP in the special mode by RedShark News. Fujifilm’s regional page lists no specifications, and pricing outside the US is unconfirmed.
Next step
Check Fujifilm’s local instax site for your country’s price and date, and budget for film and a microSD card, since neither is in the box.
