No Man’s Sky now has a Halloween update called FORSAKEN, and it went live on October 28, 2026. Hello Games founder Sean Murray announced it on Xbox Wire, and the studio’s own update page lists it as version 7.10.
It keeps the action in deep space, but with a darker mood: strange traders, haunted salvage, a new set of biomechanical corvette parts and a courier job for anyone who likes hauling cargo. It is the fifth major update of the year, after REMNANT, XENO ARENA, THE SWARM and COSMOS.
What are forsaken traders and mementos?
Mementos are vessels of preserved organic matter that now turn up in deep space. According to Murray, they hide in derelict hulks and infested space outposts, and a group of odd traders wants to collect them.
- Summon forsaken traders at the edge of deep-space outposts and swap mementos for corvette modules.
- The modules are biomechanical, so you can make your existing corvette look sinister or build a whole new “scarecraft”.
- Hello Games says mementos are also found at derelict freighters and planetary digsites, and that harvesting them for too long attracts hostile boundary horrors.
- Extra rewards include the Larva Tank Helmet and a Mind Harvester title, and a Larva Cannon Multi-Tool that you buy with preserved grubs.

What else is new in FORSAKEN?
Murray says the team squeezed in more than the Halloween theme, and the official page lists a long set of additions.
- Five new corvette cockpits: Vantage, Hornet, Legion, Viper and Mantis, plus new habs and structural pieces.
- Space courier missions that send you to deep-space outposts to deliver packages. These need a corvette and a Gravitino Coil.
- Seamless warping: fly straight to a star you can see in the sky, without opening the Galaxy Map.
- A minimal HUD mode that strips back the compass, hazard bars and mission notifications, aimed at advanced players.
- A radial wheel for switching Multi-Tool modes.
- Deep-space bases that you can upload for other players to visit, and a new challenger in the Holo-Arena at deep-space outposts.
- Smaller changes such as a corvette landing pad at planetary trading outposts and an Oxygen Harvester you can build anywhere on a planet.

Where can you play it?
The official update page lists PS4, PS5, Steam, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox Game Pass, Mac, Nintendo Switch and the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition. It also says the full game is now on iOS, with a touch interface and battery and thermal tuning. The update follows COSMOS from last month, which Murray says brought a large wave of Xbox and Game Pass players to the game.

Prices
Neither the Xbox Wire post nor the official update page gives a Canadian or US price for FORSAKEN, and neither says whether it costs anything on its own. The store panel on the Xbox Wire page shows $59.99 and $23.99 for the base game, but it does not name the currency or say which figure is a sale price. Check the Canadian store for your platform before you buy.

Who it suits
Current players with a corvette. This is the clearest fit. The new cockpits, modules, courier missions and landing pad all build on corvette play, so anyone who already owns one has plenty to do straight away.
Collectors and builders. The memento trades, the Larva Cannon, the Larva Tank Helmet and the uploadable deep-space bases give you things to hunt and show off.
Players who like a cleaner screen. The minimal HUD mode and the radial weapon wheel are small, practical changes that experienced players may use more than the spooky content.
Newcomers on Game Pass or iOS. The game is on Xbox Game Pass and on iOS, so it is easier to try without paying for a separate copy on those services. Check your own plan and device, because the sources do not list requirements.

What is still unknown
The sources do not say how long the Halloween theme will run, whether the update costs extra on any platform, or how the iOS version performs on specific iPhone and iPad models. Hello Games has not announced Canadian pricing or retailers either. Murray only says the team is already planning what it will do in 2027.
