Microsoft has announced the second October 2026 wave of Xbox Game Pass, and its headline addition is Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade, arriving on October 29. The update, posted on Xbox Wire on October 20, also lists a detective mystery, a psychological horror hit and two day one launches, plus the games leaving the service at the end of the month.

Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade

Square Enix’s remake retells the original story up to the escape from Midgar, with a battle system that mixes real time action and command based strategy. It lands on October 29 for cloud, Xbox Series X|S and PC, in Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium and PC Game Pass, according to Xbox. Gematsu’s listing of the wave shows the same date and tiers.

What it means for you

If you pay for Ultimate or PC Game Pass, every new game in this wave is included. Premium members get most of them, but should check the tier label on each game before planning around it. If you are partway through one of the departing games, finish it before October 31 or buy it: Xbox says members can save on these games before they leave the library.
