The Eradication pack for Warhammer 40,000: Gladius - Relics of War adds eight new units, one each for eight factions, and costs $9.99 US on Steam, or CDN$ 11.99 for Canadian accounts. It is an add-on that needs the base game, and Steam shows 85% positive from 21 user reviews.
Proxy Studios developed the pack and Slitherine Ltd. publishes it. It came out on May 21, 2026, so this is not a brand-new release, but it is a clear way to see what the expansion changes for each army. The Steam version lists Windows and Linux.
What does the Eradication pack add?
Steam describes it as eight new units for the battlefields of Gladius Prime, and says it “unlocks powerful new tactical possibilities for every commander.” Here is the list, with the roles Steam gives:
- Adepta Sororitas, Celestian Insidiants: anti-psyker melee infantry with condemnor bolt pistols that fire anointed silver stakes and heavy maces fitted with null-field generators
- Orks, Wazbom Blastajet: an experimental ground attack aircraft
- Space Marines, Thunderhawk Gunship: a super-heavy airborne assault transport with an array of weapons
- Tyranids, Harpy: a flying monstrous creature able to drop explosive spore mines
- Craftworld Aeldari, Warp Spiders: jet pack infantry built for hit-and-run tactics
- Necrons, Seraptek Heavy Construct: a super-heavy walker with powerful ranged weapons
- Astra Militarum, Armoured Sentinel: a fire support walker, with tank hunter versions that carry Plasma Cannons
- Chaos Space Marines, Noise Marines: a deafening ranged infantry unit that deals sonic damage

Which of these units fly or hit hardest?
Three of the eight are in the air according to Steam’s descriptions: the Wazbom Blastajet, the Thunderhawk Gunship and the Harpy. The Thunderhawk and the Seraptek Heavy Construct are both labelled super-heavy, which points to the pack’s heavy hitters.
Steam’s wording for the Warp Spiders, meanwhile, centers on mobility: they use jump generators to attack and then fade away. Exact stats, costs and balance numbers are not on the pages we read, so how these units compare in play is something only the game itself will show.

What do you need to play it?
You need Warhammer 40,000: Gladius - Relics of War, which Steam lists as the required base game. Matrix Games, an official retail page for the pack, gives these requirements:
- Minimum on Windows: Windows 10 64-bit, Intel Core i3, 4 GB RAM, Vulkan with 3 GB of video memory , 4 GB of storage
- Recommended on Windows: Windows 10 64-bit, Intel Core i5, 8 GB RAM, the same graphics line, 8 GB of storage
- Linux: Intel Core i3, 4 GB RAM, the same graphics line, 4 GB of storage
English has full audio on Steam. German, Spanish from Spain, Russian, Simplified Chinese and French are supported for text. The game also supports single-player and online multiplayer, according to Steam’s feature list.

Prices
In Canada, Steam lists the Eradication pack at CDN$ 11.99. In the United States it is $9.99. The base game is sold separately, so check its price on its own Steam page before you count the total. GOG also sells the pack DRM-free, and other stores may run their own discounts, so prices at the time of writing can change.

Who it suits
Current Gladius players. If you already own Relics of War, this is a straightforward add-on that gives every faction something new, including air units and super-heavy walkers.
Players who stick to one faction. Each army gets exactly one new unit, so the value depends on how much you play that faction. Sororitas players get an anti-psyker specialist, and Necron players get a heavy walker.
People who want to try Gladius. This is not the place to start. You need the base game first, and Steam lists the pack as an expansion rather than a standalone game.
Who should wait. Steam shows 85% positive from only 21 reviews, a small sample. If you play mainly one faction and the new unit does not interest you, there is no urgency.
What is still unknown
The pages we read do not list unit stats, in-game costs or balance changes, and they do not say whether more packs are planned. Whether the units feel different from existing ones on the map is also unanswered.
For a next step, open the Eradication pack page on Steam, confirm you own Relics of War, and read the unit descriptions for the faction you play most.
