Microsoft Flight Simulator has a new regional add-on: World Update 23, which covers Poland and the Baltic states. Xbox Wire published its release post on October 26, 2026, under a headline saying the update is out.
The Xbox Wire page itself is short, so the detail below comes mainly from preview coverage of a September developer stream, which also gave October 27 as a tentative target date.
What the update covers
The region spans Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland. According to MSFS Addons, the team flew the area itself to capture it.
Two new photogrammetry cities are included, drawn from a list of Tallinn, Riga, Kaunas, Vilnius, Gdansk and Warsaw. The preview coverage names those six places but does not say which two get the full treatment. The Tatra Mountains are also singled out as a landmark.
Airports, points of interest and activities
The package includes five handcrafted airports, roughly one for each country. It also adds 77 points of interest, built by Gaya Simulations.
There is plenty to do once you arrive:
- Three discovery flights
- Five precision landings in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 and four in the 2020 edition
- One rally race in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024
- A guided tour made with a real Polish tour company, partly based on its script and route
A Local Legend aircraft on the side
As with earlier world updates, a paid Local Legend aircraft ships alongside the scenery. Local Legend 25 is the Antonov AN-28 from AT Simulations, and the developers tied it to the Polish theme because much of the type was manufactured in Poland. Simulation Daily describes it as a payware add-on, so it is separate from the free scenery.
What it means for you
If you fly in Canada or the United States, this is a chance to try a part of Europe that has had less attention than the usual tourist routes. Sightseeing flights over the old towns and coastlines are the obvious use, and the discovery flights and landing challenges give you structured goals if you prefer them.
The sources do not list Canadian or US pricing, retailers or platform-by-platform availability for this update, and they do not say what the AN-28 costs. Check the in-sim content manager and your platform store for current details. Because the preview coverage called the date tentative, treat the October 27 figure as an early target and not a promise.
