Dispatch, the superhero adventure from AdHoc Studio, arrives on iOS and Android on December 9, with the first four episodes free and the rest of the game unlocking for $19.99 USD. The mobile version has been rebuilt for touch controls and vertical play.
AdHoc Studio announced the date alongside its first anniversary update. The game launched on October 22, 2025 on PS5 and PC through Steam, followed by Switch and Switch 2 in January 2026 and Xbox Series and Microsoft Store PC on July 29, 2026. The studio says more than five million people have now played it.
What is the Dispatch mobile version?
It is the base game adapted for phones and tablets. AdHoc says it was rebuilt for touch controls and vertical play, rather than being a straight copy of the PC and console build.
- Platforms: iOS, Android and Google Play Games on PC
- Release date: December 9, 2026
- Free to start: the first four episodes
- Full game: $19.99 USD, with regional pricing varying
- Regions: all regions where the PC and console versions are sold, except China and Japan
Pre-registration is open on Google Play. The App Store listing is marked “coming soon” for pre-orders, according to Gematsu and AdHoc.
What is in the anniversary update?
Two new modes arrived on the PC and console versions on October 22, and both come with the Deluxe Edition.
- Commentary Mode: over 16 hours of commentary across eight episodes, with separate Cast and Crew tracks. Game Informer lists Aaron Paul, Laura Bailey and Erin Yvette among the voices, plus the development team. AdHoc notes the commentary is English only and has no subtitles.
- Storyboard Mode: lets you play every episode as the original storyboard animatics, the rough sketches used to time images to the voice work.
Owners of the Digital Deluxe Edition get both modes at no cost. Everyone else can upgrade for $10.99, which also includes the digital art book and all four digital comics, and AdHoc says the upgrade is 20% off on Steam and Xbox. On Nintendo Switch, download the new DLC pack from the eShop first, and AdHoc warns some regions may charge a small fee for the update.
How much does it cost in Canada and the US?
AdHoc lists the full mobile game at $19.99 USD, and the first four episodes cost nothing. The Deluxe upgrade on existing platforms is $10.99. Neither AdHoc nor the other outlets give a Canadian dollar price for the mobile version, and AdHoc only says regional pricing varies, so check the App Store or Google Play listing in Canada once it goes live.
Canada and the US both fall inside the regions where the game is sold, since AdHoc excludes only China and Japan.
Who it suits
Newcomers on a phone. The free first four episodes let you judge the story and the touch controls before paying anything, which is the lowest risk way to try it.
Players who already own it. The base game and the commentary and storyboard modes are separate matters. If you own a console or PC copy, the Deluxe upgrade at $10.99 is the route to the new modes, and the mobile release is a second way to play away from your TV or desk.
Android and PC players. The release includes Google Play Games on PC, so people who prefer that route are covered as well as phone owners.
Who should wait. If you want a Canadian dollar price before buying, hold off until the store listings appear. iPhone and iPad owners also need to wait for the App Store pre-order, which was still marked “coming soon”.
What is still unknown?
The sources do not say whether the mobile version needs a minimum phone or tablet spec, how large the download is, or when the App Store pre-order opens. A Canadian dollar price has not been published either. AdHoc is also running a live soundtrack concert in Los Angeles on December 3, which is separate from the game release.
What to do next
Pre-register on Google Play if you are on Android, and watch the App Store for the pre-order. The official AdHoc Studio anniversary post has the full details on the update and the mobile release.
