Amazon’s all-new Fire TV Stick 4K costs $24.99 at Amazon in the United States at the time of writing, against a list price of $59.99 in Amazon’s own launch announcement. Android Police and The Gadgeteer both put that at 58% off, only weeks after the stick went on sale on September 30, 2026.

Amazon makes the stick and sells it itself, so the price on its own store is the one that counts. 9to5Toys reported $25 on November 2 and called it the lowest price it had tracked, while Android Police reported $24.99 on November 4 without making a lowest price claim.

What do you get for $24.99?

The stick is a 4K streamer that plugs into an HDMI port and draws power from the TV itself. Amazon and the developer specifications list these basics:

  • Quad-core 1.7 GHz processor, 1 GB of memory and 8 GB of storage
  • Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3
  • Video up to 2160p at 60 fps, with HDR10, HDR10+ and HLG
  • Direct Power, which runs the stick from a TV’s USB port with the included cable
  • A new Fire TV Remote with a metal home button, a customizable star button and TV power and volume controls

AFTVnews lists the box contents as the stick, the remote and a short 1.3 ft power cable. There is no power adapter in the box.

Prices

Here are the figures the sources give, all in US dollars for the United States:

Item Price
Fire TV Stick 4K, current deal $24.99
Fire TV Stick 4K, Amazon list price $59.99
Fire TV Stick 4K, earlier Prime Big Deal Days price $29.99
Fire TV Remote, sold on its own $14.99

These are prices at the time of writing and they can change at any time. None of the sources states an end date or a stock limit. 9to5Toys notes the price could move again closer to Black Friday.

The stick is also sold in Canada, Japan, Mexico, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Switzerland and Australia, according to Amazon. The sources found for this story give no deal price outside the United States, so check your own Amazon store.

Is the power cable enough?

Most readers will not need extras, because the cable plugs into a TV USB port. If your TV port does not suit that, AFTVnews lists a longer cable at $9.99, a power adapter at $19.99 and an HDMI extender at $5.99. Those prices come from the launch coverage and are not part of the deal.

What changed from the older Fire TV sticks?

The biggest change is the software. This stick runs Amazon’s Vega OS, not the Android based Fire OS of earlier models. Android Police says Vega OS has fewer apps than Android and removes side-loading.

AFTVnews also notes that the stick has no Dolby Vision, and that it passes Dolby audio through the HDMI port to your TV or receiver instead of decoding it. It has half the memory of the model it replaces.

Who it suits

First time 4K buyers. At $24.99 the stick adds 4K, HDR10+ and Wi-Fi 6 to a TV that has none of them, and it needs no wall outlet when the TV has a USB port.

People upgrading an older stick. The new remote and the Wi-Fi 6 radio are the visible gains, but check that every app you use is listed for Vega OS first.

Home theater owners with Dolby Vision TVs. The stick does not support Dolby Vision, according to AFTVnews, so a different player may suit you better.

Who should wait. If you rely on side-loaded apps, the Android Police note is a reason to hold off. Shoppers who want to see whether the price falls further can wait for Black Friday sales, with no promise that it will.

What is still unknown?

The sources do not say how long the $24.99 price will last or whether Amazon will repeat it. They also give no sale prices for the other countries where the stick is sold.

Before ordering, open the Fire TV Stick 4K page on your Amazon store, confirm the price in your currency and check the app list for Vega OS on Amazon’s own Fire TV pages.
