Bambu Lab’s H3C is a desktop 3D printer with nine independent tools, and it costs US $2,499 with its AMS 3H filament system included. Bambu Lab launched it on November 3, 2026 through its official store, and ToolGuyd reported the same price on launch day.
The company calls it its first third-generation desktop printer. Rather than swapping a single nozzle, as the earlier H2C does, the H3C keeps nine tools loaded and heated, so a colour or material change becomes a tool swap.
How does the nine-tool system work?
Bambu calls the design Swaptek. Each of the nine tools has its own filament path and its own heater. According to Bambu, a switch takes under 6 seconds, and a feature called Active Pre-Heat warms the next nozzle while the current tool finishes its segment, which cuts waiting time.
- Nine tools, each with a dedicated filament path and nozzle heater
- A retractable rack that folds the guide tubes back during printing
- Hardened steel nozzles from 0.2 mm to 0.8 mm, with mixed sizes possible in one setup
- Tool slots that can also hold a cutting, drawing or debossing tool, according to ToolGuyd

What are the key specs?
The figures below come from Bambu’s launch release and from 3D Printing Industry’s spec rundown.
- Build volume: 330 x 320 x 325 mm in the 3D Printing Industry listing. ToolGuyd prints the first figure as 220, so check the store page before you plan around it.
- Top toolhead speed of 1,400 mm/s and acceleration of 25,000 mm/s²
- Nozzle temperature up to 350 °C, with chamber heating up to 65 °C
- Filament sizes of 1.75 mm and 2.85 mm, and a FlexFeed extruder that Bambu says handles TPU as soft as 75A
- A motion platform that Bambu says is 40% lighter than its predecessor’s
- Wi-Fi 6 only, with no Ethernet port

What comes with the AMS 3H?
The AMS 3H holds 9 spools in a sealed chamber and can dry filament at up to 85 °C, even during a print. Attaching an original AMS to tool 1 expands the system to 24 materials, according to Bambu.
ToolGuyd adds that the printer ships with eight 1.75 mm print tools and one 2.85 mm print tool, preinstalled in the slot with the integrated dryer. Buyers who do not plan to print TPU will need to buy another 1.75 mm print tool for that slot.

Prices
Bambu lists the H3C AMS Combo at US $2,499, excluding tax and with shipping included. In Europe the price is €2,499, including tax. The printer is sold from the Bambu Lab Official Store, and the sources do not give prices for any other country or currency.
A Bambu Station stand with tool and spool storage, the E1 Air Purifier and an extra Bird-eye camera are optional and sold separately.

Who it suits
Makers who print in many colours. Nine loaded tools and room for 24 materials mean fewer manual swaps on multicolour prints. That is the use case Bambu is aiming at.
People who print flexible parts. The 2.85 mm filament path and the FlexFeed extruder are meant for soft TPU, though you may need to buy that extra 1.75 mm tool first if you skip it.
Shops with limited bench space. The H3C is tall. 3D Printing Industry lists a recommended installation space of 593 x 1,056 x 1,306 mm, and ToolGuyd’s author said the power draw gives him pause. Bambu lists a maximum of 2,250 W at 220 V and 1,850 W at 110 V.
Owners of an H2C. Bambu argued a year ago for nozzle swapping over tool changers, so the switch is worth reading about before you upgrade.
What is still unknown?
The sources disagree on one build volume figure, and none of them give shipping dates or availability outside the official store. ToolGuyd says there is no word yet on the smaller P3C.
