Google is adding a set of Gemini tools aimed at small business owners, including a dedicated business landing page, a way to save a brand’s visual style and new finance features. The company announced the update on October 20, 2026, and says the tools begin rolling out globally in the coming days to all Gemini app users.

According to Google, tens of millions of small business owners already use Gemini to brainstorm products, sort through customer feedback and review how their business is doing. The new features are meant to cut the time they spend on routine work.

A central hub for business tasks

The new business landing page works as a starting point inside Gemini. From there, owners can work on their brand, look at their finances, review customer insights and handle other everyday jobs.

Gemini can also connect to more apps. On the Google side, that includes Google Business Profile, Google Ads and Google Workspace. Third party connected apps include:

  • Adobe
  • Canva
  • Dropbox
  • Shopify
  • Wix
  • Zoho
  • Xero

This builds on an update Google announced in June, when it began letting owners link their Business Profile to Gemini and introduced business notebooks and drafted replies to customer reviews.

Brand style that stays saved

Businesses can now teach Gemini their look by uploading their website, a brand kit, fonts or colour palettes. Gemini keeps that style on file, so owners do not need to upload their guidelines again each time they ask for new visuals.

The images come from Nano Banana 2.1, which Google calls its latest image generation model. The Next Web reported that Google released the model on October 6, 2026, and that it also powers image features in Google Ads and AI Mode in Search. Google says the pairing lets Gemini produce complete visual sets for a product launch or an ongoing marketing campaign.

Finance help from messy files

The third part of the update targets bookkeeping chores. Google says Gemini can take messy spreadsheets, receipts and purchase records and turn them into clear financial graphics and interactive models within seconds. The idea is that owners get a readable picture of their numbers without decoding them by hand.

Google shared examples from owners in several countries. A ceramicist in Bordeaux, France, uses Gemini for product descriptions, newsletters and social media hooks, and Google says this saves her two to three hours a day. A restaurant owner in New Jersey uses it with a connected Business Profile to follow local search and Maps performance between shifts.

What it means for you

If you run a small shop, studio or service business and already use Gemini, the main change is less setup work: your brand style stays saved, and your sales, design and accounting apps can feed into one place. Google did not list separate pricing for these features in its announcement, and the rollout is gradual, so they may take a few days to appear in your account.

As with any assistant, check financial summaries against your own records before acting on them. Larger companies that need central admin controls and data governance are pointed to Google’s separate Gemini for business offering.
