Humblets is a cozy adventure for one to four players from developer Berry Bite, and its Steam page still lists the release date as to be announced. Players explore a procedurally generated world, craft and decorate, befriend creatures, and settle fights with cards instead of weapons.

The game is published by HypeTrain Digital and is often compared with Animal Crossing. The Steam page says it is in early development, so what is shown may change before launch.

What is Humblets?

Humblets is an open world adventure with a gentle tone. According to its Steam page, you explore, gather materials, decorate, make friends with creatures and solve challenges with cards, in what the page calls “a warm, wholesome adventure.”

The developer’s own pitch, as GamesRadar reported it, is “The Lord of the Rings x Animal Crossing.” GamesRadar says cooking and fishing draw on Animal Crossing, building is Minecraft style, and gliding and campfire cooking take cues from Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

How does it play?

  • World: procedurally generated, with giant mushrooms and sprawling hills, plus hand crafted landmarks according to GamesRadar. Hidden items and areas change between playthroughs, mxdwn reported.
  • Home: a portable tent you decorate, grow potted plants in and can connect to friends’ tents, per HypeTrain Digital’s reveal.
  • Combat: card battles. A fallen star can be broken to reveal a card, cards carry stats and special functions, and two cards can be combined, mxdwn reported. The battles are described as peaceful, and the full card rules have not been shown.
  • Companions: a pet that gathers resources and delivers items, assigned by a personality quiz or chosen by the player.
  • Customisation: horns, tails, outfits and backpack trinkets.
  • Players: single player or online co-op, per the Steam page.

Materials come from cutting trees, digging for treasure and fishing, and mxdwn says a resource system asks players to keep track of what they hold.

When does Humblets come out?

No release date has been announced. The Steam page says “To be announced” and carries a note that the game is not yet available on Steam. GamesRadar reported an estimated alpha delivery late next year, with a full launch planned afterwards, but that estimate does not come from the Steam page.

The game was first revealed on June 12, 2025, with a trailer and a Steam page that opened for wishlists, according to Saving Content.

Which platforms is it coming to?

The Steam page does not list platforms beyond Steam, and mxdwn names PC. GamesRadar reports plans for Nintendo Switch 1 and 2, PS5 and Xbox Series X. Treat the console list as unconfirmed until the studio or publisher states it on an official page.

The Steam page lists a 64-bit processor and operating system as the minimum, and marks the other requirements as to be determined.

Prices

No price is listed on the Steam page, so there is no Canadian or US price yet. GamesRadar reported that the Kickstarter campaign was fully funded on day one and had raised well over six figures at the time of writing, but that figure is crowdfunding money, not a retail price.

For a retail price in Canadian or US dollars, check the Steam page and the console storefronts once a release date is set.

Who it suits

Cozy game fans. If you like Animal Crossing style routines of crafting, fishing and decorating, the descriptions point to the same relaxed loop with an adventure layer on top.

Friends who play together. The game supports online co-op, and the tents can be connected, so it fits groups who want a shared base rather than a competitive match.

Card game and deckbuilding fans. Steam tags it Deckbuilding, and fights are decided by cards. Those who dislike deckbuilding may want to wait and see how the rules work.

Anyone who needs a date. Who should wait: with no release date or price confirmed, and development still early, it is a wishlist title for now.

What is still unknown

The release date, the price, the final platform list and the full card rules are all unannounced. The Steam page does not show a dedicated trailer, and it is not clear when the Kickstarter rewards or an alpha would reach backers.

What to do next

If it sounds like your kind of game, add Humblets to your wishlist on its Steam page so you get a notice when a date arrives. Watch the studio’s official channels for a platform list, since the console details so far come from one outlet.
