The 8BitDo Pro 3 Bluetooth controller in Gray was C$59.99 at Amazon.ca at the time of writing. That is 25% below the C$79.99 list price the store shows, and the listing is sold and shipped by Amazon.ca. It was in stock when we checked on October 27, 2026.
8BitDo’s official page calls the Pro 3 a retro flagship that works with Switch 1 and 2, Windows PC, Apple devices, SteamOS and Android. The company’s own shop lists it at $69.99 USD.
What does the 8BitDo Pro 3 offer?
The Pro 3 packs a long feature list into a classic shape. According to 8BitDo, it has:
- TMR joysticks with a 12 bit ADC sampling chip
- Hall Effect triggers with a switch between linear and non linear tactile modes
- Swappable magnetic ABXY buttons that flip between Switch and Xbox layouts, with a button puller included
- An integrated charging dock that reconnects the controller when you lift it off
- Remappable L4 and R4 Fast Bumpers, plus pro level back buttons and three custom profiles
- 6 axis motion control (Switch and Steam only), turbo and vibration
The battery capacity is 1000mAh. The controller measures 153.6 by 100.5 by 64.5 mm and weighs 242.4g. In the box you get the controller, the dock, a 2.4G adapter, a USB cable, the ABXY button puller and two ball top joystick caps.

Which devices work with the Pro 3?
8BitDo lists Switch 3.0.0 and above, Switch 2 20.1.1 and above, Android 13.0 and above, Windows 10 (1903) and above, SteamOS 3.7.13 or above, and Apple iOS 26, iPadOS 26, tvOS 26, macOS 26 and visionOS 26 and above.
Connections vary by platform. Switch accepts Bluetooth, 2.4G or wired USB. Windows uses 2.4G or wired USB. SteamOS, Android and Apple use Bluetooth or wired USB. TechRadar noted at launch that the controller was not listed as Xbox compatible.

How much does it cost in Canada and the US?
In Canada, Amazon.ca shows C$59.99 for the Gray model, with 25% savings against a C$79.99 list price. That list price is the store’s, not 8BitDo’s, which shows no Canadian price. The G Classic colour was listed at C$72.37 against the same C$79.99.
In the United States, 8BitDo’s shop lists $69.99 USD, and TechRadar reported the same $69.99 when the controller shipped in the US on August 12, 2025. We are not converting between currencies, so compare the two as separate markets.
Two related Amazon.ca prices at the time of writing:
- 8BitDo Ultimate 2C Bluetooth Controller in Pink: C$35.09 against a C$36.99 list price
- 8BitDo USB Wireless Controller Adapter 2: C$28.34

Why is the Pro 3 popular right now?
Amazon.ca marks the Gray Pro 3 as Amazon’s Choice and notes 100+ bought in the past month, with 1,779 ratings. Part of the pull is simple: it is a Switch 2 compatible pad with TMR sticks and a dock at a price below its list. TechRadar framed it as a retro styled controller that fits the Switch 2 era.
Those are store labels and press coverage, not our test results, so check the specs against what you need.

Who it suits
Switch 2 owners. The Pro 3 works with Switch 2 on firmware 20.1.1 and above, adds motion control, and the dock keeps it charged between sessions.
PC and Steam players. A 2.4G adapter or wired USB covers Windows, and the pad works with SteamOS 3.7.13 or above. Hall Effect triggers and remappable back buttons are the draw for custom setups.
Phone and Apple players. Bluetooth support for iOS 26 and newer systems means the same controller can follow you from the couch to a tablet.
Who should wait. Xbox is not on the compatibility list, so skip it if that is your console. If you want a cheaper pad without a dock, the Ultimate 2C at C$35.09 is a different tier. And if the price slips back to the C$79.99 list level, waiting for the next drop is reasonable.
What is still unknown
Amazon.ca does not state how long the price will last, so prices can change at any time. Other colours sit at different prices, and the Orange edition is exclusive to the 8BitDo eShop. 8BitDo has not published a Canadian price on its page.
Before you buy, open the compatibility table on 8BitDo’s Pro 3 page and check the minimum system version for your console or device, then confirm the colour and price on the Amazon.ca listing.
