S-GAME says Phantom Blade Zero has sold more than 4 million copies across PS5 and PC in its first 72 hours on sale. The action RPG launched on October 29, 2026, so the figure covers its opening weekend.

Push Square and Wccftech both report the milestone, which the studio posted on social media: “Phantom Blade Zero has sold over 4 million copies in just 72 hours!” The standard edition costs $59.99 on Steam, and none of our sources lists a Canadian price.

How big is 4 million sales in three days?

It is a strong start for the studio’s first console game, though not the biggest launch in the genre. Push Square points out that Black Myth: Wukong sold over 10 million copies in the same three-day window, so Phantom Blade Zero has not reached half of that.

Interest was building well before release. Wccftech notes that Alinea Analytics estimated 1.6 million Steam wishlists in August, the top of that year’s wishlist chart at the time.

How many people are playing on Steam?

Steam peaked at about 833K concurrent players over the launch weekend, according to Wccftech, which says that places the game in the all time top 10 on the platform.

That number covers PC only. S-GAME has not published how the 4 million copies split between PS5 and PC.

What do critics and players think?

Early reviews are strong on both platforms. Push Square lists a Metacritic critic average of 87 on PS5 and 88 on PC, a Metacritic user score of 9.3 and a PlayStation Store rating of 4.71.

Scores can move as more reviews arrive, so treat them as a snapshot from November 2.

What kind of game is it?

According to the PlayStation Blog, Phantom Blade Zero mixes soulslike boss fights with combo focused hack and slash action, RPG storytelling and exploration that rewards searching. Players earn most of their weapons by defeating bosses, and they can swap between two equipped main weapons to refill the Sha-Chi meter.

Who it suits

Fans of soulslike and action RPGs. The boss driven weapon system and the two weapon swap described by the PlayStation Blog put combat at the centre, which suits players who like learning enemy patterns.

PC players. A Steam peak of about 833K concurrent players means a large community to compare builds and boss tips with.

PS5 owners. The PS5 version is the only console version for now, and the PlayStation Store rating of 4.71 is a good sign for buyers who prefer to stay on console.

Who should wait. Readers who want a Canadian price in CAD, or who play on Xbox, may prefer to hold off. No Xbox release has been confirmed, and Canadian pricing is not listed in the sources we read.

What is still unknown?

S-GAME has not said how sales divide by platform or by country, and it has not published a Canadian price in the material we reviewed. Scores and player counts will keep changing in the weeks after launch.
