BurnClub, a music discovery app for iPhone that builds playlists from the songs used in public social media posts, is free to download on the App Store right now. Tip site New Mobile Life listed its usual price as US $0.99, and the US App Store listing showed BurnClub as Free when we checked. The developer has not stated an end date for the free price.
How BurnClub works
The idea is simple: instead of an algorithm suggesting songs, you start from a person. According to the App Store listing, you paste the link to a public Instagram or TikTok profile, and BurnClub looks for the songs used across that account’s public posts. You can then:
- Preview the tracks before saving anything
- “Burn” the result as a digital CD inside the app
- Save the playlist to Spotify, Apple Music or YouTube Music
- Browse what other BurnClub users have been discovering
- Share your finds with friends
No BurnClub account is needed. The listing says the app was created by Mike and Ryan, described as design leaders from TikTok and Meta, and it states that BurnClub is independent and not affiliated with or endorsed by Instagram, TikTok, Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music or Meta.

Privacy
The App Store privacy label lists identifiers and usage data as data that may be collected but is not linked to you. BurnClub’s privacy policy says it never asks for Instagram or TikTok passwords, does not request access to private profiles and does not store streaming service logins, since any sign in happens directly with Spotify or the other provider. It also notes that the public profiles you scan may belong to people who do not use BurnClub, and that scan results can be cached for a limited period.

- Confirm the button says Get, not a price.
- Tap Get, open the app and paste a public profile link to try it.
Who it suits, and the catch
BurnClub suits people who keep hearing good music in a friend’s or creator’s videos and want a quick way to collect it. It only works with public profiles, and results depend on what music those posts actually use. The privacy policy also refers to a one time paid unlock processed by Apple, though the current listing shows no in-app purchases, so pricing may change later. The app is new: version 1.0 arrived in October and has very few ratings so far.
