Craftsman has released the 12 Days of Craftsman Advent Calendar, a limited edition holiday countdown box filled with hand tools and small accessories for DIYers. The calendar is listed as model CMMT12426 on craftsman.com and as CMMT12426A at Amazon, ahead of the 2026 holiday season.

Craftsman says the box holds up to $200 in value, based on the MSRP of the items when priced individually. It also hides a reward inside: a bonus deal on a future Craftsman purchase.

What is inside

The official product page lists the full contents, so stop reading here if you prefer to be surprised. Behind the 12 doors you get:

  • A VersaStack case
  • A 3/8 in. drive ratchet and a 3 in. drive extension bar
  • A 1/4 in. drive magnetic nut driver
  • An 11 piece bit set
  • 3/8 in. drive six point standard sockets in 10mm, 12mm, 13mm, 14mm, 15mm and 16mm
  • SAE sockets in 1/4, 5/16, 3/8, 7/16, 1/2 and 9/16 in.
  • Two extra 10mm sockets
  • A bottle opener, a tape measure key chain, a magnetic pick up tool and a stubby slotted screwdriver

ToolGuyd, which spotted the listing, welcomed the two spare 10mm sockets and described the kit as basically a socket set with a VersaStack case and some extras. By the last day, the case doubles as storage for everything else in the box.

Price and where to buy

The prices reported so far are in US dollars at US retailers, and they can change at any time. SlashGear reported in September that the calendar sold for $64.99 on Amazon. ToolGuyd lists it at $50 at Ace Hardware and $65 at Lowe’s. Craftsman describes it as a limited edition release that will not be around forever, and SlashGear suggested it could sell out well before the holidays.

As for the hidden reward, the calendar page on craftsman.com says redemption is coming soon. The terms posted on that page describe a voucher for a free Craftsman 2AH battery (CMCB202 or CMCB202-HPG) with a qualifying purchase of $100 or more of Craftsman products in one transaction. The offer period starts November 1 and runs through the end of January, it is open only to Craftsman Club members, and it applies only in the contiguous United States. Purchases must come from participating Lowe’s, Ace Hardware or Blain’s Farm and Fleet stores, or from Amazon.com when Amazon is the seller.

What it means for buyers

This is a gift for beginners and casual DIYers more than for working pros. The pieces cover everyday 3/8 in. drive jobs around the house and garage, and the VersaStack case fits into Craftsman’s stackable storage system.

Anyone who already owns a full socket set will find little new here, because the contents are regular Craftsman catalogue items rather than tools made only for the calendar. Craftsman lists no warranty for the calendar as a set on its product page, so check the coverage of the individual tools if that matters to you. For someone starting a first tool kit, or as a stocking stuffer alternative for a car or home enthusiast, it puts a useful set of basics in one case.
