NVIDIA says the first laptops built on its RTX Spark platform went on sale on October 16, with models from ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Microsoft and MSI. Prices start at $2,599, and NVIDIA notes that pricing and configurations vary by region.

RTX Spark is NVIDIA’s move into slim Windows laptops with its own processor. A single superchip combines an NVIDIA Blackwell RTX GPU with an NVIDIA Grace CPU, and MediaTek worked with NVIDIA on the custom CPU design.

What is inside

According to NVIDIA, the platform offers:

  • Up to 128GB of unified memory shared by the CPU and GPU
  • Up to 1 petaflop of FP4 AI performance
  • Support for CUDA, DLSS, Reflex, G-SYNC and TensorRT
  • Slim designs with all day battery life, according to the company

The shared memory is the main selling point. NVIDIA says it lets large AI models and heavy creative projects run side by side on one portable machine, instead of being split between a laptop and the cloud.

The first models

The launch lineup named by NVIDIA includes the ASUS ProArt P14 and P16, Dell XPS 16, HP OmniBook Ultra and OmniBook X 14, Lenovo Yoga Pro 9n, Microsoft Surface Laptop Ultra, and the MSI Prestige N16 Flip AI+ and Prestige N16. Tom’s Guide lists the Surface Laptop Ultra from $2,599, while PCWorld noted that not every model in the lineup was ready to ship on launch day.

Configurations with more memory and storage cost far more than the starting price, so check each maker’s own store for the exact price and stock in your country.

Gaming, creating and local AI

NVIDIA says RTX Spark can run AAA games at 1440p at over 100 frames per second. Launch support covers titles such as Cyberpunk 2077, Fortnite, Gears of War: E-Day, Marvel Rivals, World of Warcraft and NBA 2K27, which uses DLSS 5.

For creators, NVIDIA claims the laptops can edit 8K 4:2:2 video and render 3D scenes up to 90GB, even on battery power. Adobe is adding NVIDIA acceleration to Photoshop and Premiere, both of which offer native RTX Spark support through beta versions at launch, with Substance 3D coming later.

The laptops are also built to run AI agents on the device. NVIDIA lists guided installers for agents including GitHub Copilot, Hermes, OpenClaw and Perplexity. For developers, it points to native CUDA, a PyTorch build for Windows on Arm and support for 97% of the top 15,000 Python packages.

What it means for you

RTX Spark targets people who want one thin laptop for gaming, video work and running AI models locally, and the prices reflect that. The developer tools are built for Windows on Arm, so if you depend on older or niche Windows software, confirm it runs on these machines before buying. Gamers should also check the supported games list rather than assume every title is ready. With several models still arriving after launch day, waiting for independent reviews of battery life and real game performance is a sensible step.
