Star Wars Zero Company, the turn-based tactics game from Electronic Arts, is on sale at Amazon in the United States. The PlayStation 5 disc version is listed at $47.97, according to IGN’s deals roundup, compared with the $59.99 suggested retail price EA set for the standard edition on consoles.

IGN described it as a $12 saving on a physical copy. Prices are as reported at the time of writing. Amazon has not shown an end date, so the price can change at any time.

What the game is

Star Wars Zero Company launched on August 27, 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. It is a single-player game developed by Bit Reactor in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games, and it is set during the Clone Wars.

According to EA, you play as Hawks, a former Galactic Republic officer who leads Zero Company, a crew of specialists for hire. The squad includes a Clone Trooper, a Mandalorian of Clan Verminoth and a Jedi Padawan, and its target is Kundri Fathom, leader of a Separatist-aligned cult called the Infinite Coil.

EA lists these features:

  • Turn-based battles where bonds between characters unlock support abilities
  • A home base called The Den, where you recruit Operators, upgrade facilities and pick missions
  • A galaxy map with more than 150 planets, where choices change how the campaign unfolds
  • Character creation for Hawks and Operators across eight Star Wars species

The soundtrack is by composer Gordy Haab.

Who should buy it

IGN gave the game a 9/10 in its review and called it an excellent tactical game. If you like squad tactics games or story-driven Star Wars adventures, this is a lower price for a recent release.

If you want fast action rather than planning moves on a grid, this is probably not for you. The deal is also only for the PS5 disc. EA’s Deluxe Edition, with extra cosmetic packs and weapon themes, carries a higher suggested price of $69.99 on consoles, and it is not part of this offer.

What to check before buying

  • Confirm the listing says PlayStation 5 and Standard Edition.
  • The price applies to the copy sold by Amazon in the US. Other countries and third party sellers can differ.
  • A disc copy needs a PS5 with a disc drive. Owners of a digital edition console need the drive add-on or a digital copy instead.

The official $59.99 figure comes from EA’s own announcement of the game’s editions and prices.
