The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales, the action RPG from Square Enix, is on sale at Amazon in the United States. The Amazon Exclusive Edition for Nintendo Switch 2 is listed at $44.99, according to IGN’s deals roundup, against the $59.99 that Square Enix charges for the standard edition on its own store.
IGN called it the first time the game has been on sale since it launched this June, and reported that Amazon has copies for all platforms at the same price. Prices are as reported at the time of writing. No end date has been given, so the price can change at any time.
What you get
The game arrived on June 18, 2026 for Nintendo Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. Square Enix describes it as a brand new action RPG from the creators of Octopath Traveler and Bravely Default, drawn in the HD-2D style those games made popular.
According to Square Enix, the main points are:
- Real time combat with seven weapon types, and up to two weapons equipped at once
- Support magic from Faie, a fairy who helps in fights and with puzzles
- A story that moves between four ages of a millennium through the Doorway of Time
- Weapon customization with magicite found along the way
The Amazon Exclusive Edition is the same game with a double-sided poster in the box, according to the Amazon listing. Text is available in English, French, German, Italian, Japanese and Spanish, with English and Japanese voices.
On Switch 2, Square Enix lists rendering up to 1920 x 1080, up to 60 fps in TV mode and a variable 30 to 60 fps in handheld mode.
Is it worth it?
IGN gave the game an 8/10 in its review, praising its action and its art style while noting it is not without flaws. If you enjoyed Octopath Traveler or like a classic fantasy adventure with quick, hands-on battles, this price makes it an easier pick.
If you prefer slow turn-based fights, or you mainly play on PlayStation or Xbox, look at the other versions first. IGN says those are discounted at Amazon too, but check the price on the product page before you buy.
What to check before buying
- Make sure the listing says Nintendo Switch 2, not the original Switch.
- The deal is on the physical edition sold by Amazon in the US. Other countries and other sellers may show different prices.
- Not sure yet? Square Enix offers a free Prologue Demo, so you can try the combat first.
The official list price of $59.99 comes from the Square Enix Store, which also sells a Collector’s Edition that is only available there.
