Math Middle & High School PRO, a math solver for iPhone and iPad that explains each step of a problem, is free to download for a limited time. The App Store listing showed the app as Free on October 20, 2026. App deals site New Mobile Life, which flagged the offer, reported that it normally sells for US $0.99.

The developer, Glindemann, Sennoun, Langer GbR, has not announced an end date, so the price could go back up at any time.

What the app covers

The app is built around school math rather than advanced university topics. According to the App Store description, it covers number theory, fractions, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, exponentiation, logarithms, solid geometry and statistics. Examples listed by the developer include:

  • Linear equations, the PQ formula and the Pythagorean theorem
  • Calculations for triangles, circles, cones and pyramids
  • Sine, cosine, tangent, exponents and logarithms
  • Probability, Bernoulli experiments and combinatorics

You pick a topic, type in your values and tap the checkmark button. The app then shows a full worked solution, with graphics and animations for the harder topics. It accepts negative values, decimals, fractions and pi. Missing or wrong entries are highlighted with an explanation, and every calculation is saved to a history list that you can sort, delete or reload. The developer says the app has no ads.

The app is still being updated. Version 1.12.0 added the greatest common divisor as a new topic, and version 1.12.1, released on October 20, fixed how chart tooltips appear.

A second free app from the same developer

New Mobile Life also spotted Calculate Percentage PRO, from the same developer, at no cost. It normally costs US $0.99 as well and now shows as Free on the App Store. You enter any two of three values and it works out the third using the rule of proportion, with the solution steps shown. It accepts fractions and decimals, keeps a history of your inputs and also has no ads.

How to get it

  1. Open the App Store on your iPhone or iPad and search for Math Middle & High School PRO.
  2. Check that the button shows Get rather than a price.
  3. Download it. Once you have claimed a free app, it stays in your purchase history and you can download it again later.

If the listing shows a price, the offer has ended.

What it means for you

The app suits students who want to check their homework one step at a time, and parents or tutors who need to verify an answer quickly. It works on iPhone and iPad with iOS 15.0 or later, and on Macs with an Apple M1 chip or later running macOS 12.0 or later. The download is 298.7 MB, and the interface is available in English and 10 more languages, including French, Spanish, Japanese, Korean and Simplified Chinese.

At the time of writing, the app had a 4.9 out of 5 rating from 10 ratings. That is a small sample, so try a few problems from your own course to see whether the explanations match how your teacher presents them. A solver is most useful for checking work you have already tried yourself, not for skipping the practice.
