Your PB Tracker, an iPhone and Apple Watch app that pulls your runs and walks from Apple Health and picks out your personal bests, is currently listed as free on the App Store. Hong Kong tip site New Mobile Life reported that the app normally costs US$0.99 and is free for a limited time. We checked the Canadian and US App Store listings and both show the app as Free at the time of writing.
The usual Canadian price has not been stated, and no end date for the offer has been given, so the price can go back up at any time.
What the app does
Your PB Tracker, also called YourPB, is made by independent developer Scott Neasham. According to the App Store listing, it does three main jobs:
- Personal bests: it reads your workouts through Apple HealthKit and finds your fastest times over standard distances such as 1k, 1 mile, 5k, 10k, half marathon and marathon. You can filter by run or walk and by date range.
- Splits: it shows average splits and pace breakdowns for each recorded workout, so you can compare one effort with another.
- Shoe tracking: it adds up the distance on each pair of shoes, separates running from walking distance, and warns you when a pair reaches 80% of its set lifespan. You can set a target lifespan from 200 km to 800 km.
Version 1.1 added a switch between kilometres and miles, which matters for Canadian runners who log in metric and US runners who think in miles. The app also has Apple Watch complications and share cards, according to the developer’s website.
The catch
There is not much of one. The store listing shows no in-app purchases and no subscription, and the developer says health data stays on your device. The listing also states that the developer does not collect any data from the app.
Two things to check before you download:
- It needs iOS 26.2 or later on iPhone and watchOS 26.2 or later on Apple Watch, so older phones are left out.
- It is a young app with very few ratings so far, so there is little user feedback to go on.
How to get it
- Open the App Store on your iPhone.
- Search for Your PB Tracker by Scott Neasham.
- Check that the button shows Get rather than a price, then tap it.
- Allow access to Apple Health when the app asks, so it can read your workouts.
Once you have downloaded it while it is free, it stays in your purchase history, so you can reinstall it later from the same Apple account.
Who it suits
If you already record runs or walks with an iPhone or Apple Watch and want one place to see your best times and know when your shoes are worn out, this is worth grabbing while it costs nothing. If you use a dedicated running watch that does not sync to Apple Health, it will have little data to work with.
