YouYu, a personal finance app for tracking spending, income and recurring bills, is free on Apple’s App Store for a limited time. Hong Kong app site New Mobile Life reported on October 15, 2026, that the app normally costs US $0.99, and the official App Store listing now shows it as free.
No end date has been given for the offer, so the price could go back up at any time.
What YouYu does
YouYu, made by developer Jide Huang, is a lightweight money tracker. According to its App Store description, you can log income, expenses and transfers across cash, bank cards, credit cards, savings and custom accounts, then sort everything into categories.
The main features listed by the developer:
- multi account balance tracking with custom categories
- monthly income and expense summaries, plus charts and statistics
- reminders for recurring bills such as rent, subscriptions, loans and utilities
- one tap expense entry when you mark a recurring bill as paid
- local backup and restore, with optional Google Drive sync
- a passcode and Face ID lock
Recent updates added monthly and category budgets, a dashboard with today’s spending and upcoming bills, quick entry templates and six month trends with spending insights. The current version is 1.3, released Aug 17.
Requirements and languages
The app needs iOS 26.5 or later on iPhone and iPadOS 26.5 or later on iPad. It also runs on Apple silicon Macs with macOS 26.5 and on Apple Vision with visionOS 26.5. The download is 5.9 MB, and the App Store lists English, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese. It is rated 4+.
Things to know before you download
The App Store privacy label says the developer may collect identifiers, usage data, advertising data and diagnostics that are not linked to your identity, and that some of it may be used for third party advertising. If you want a finance app with no data collection at all, keep that in mind.
The app has not received enough ratings yet for the App Store to show a score, so there is little user feedback so far.
How to get it
- Open the App Store on your iPhone or iPad and search for YouYu by Jide Huang.
- Check that the button shows Get rather than a price.
- Tap Get to download it while the offer lasts.
What it means for you
If you track your budget in a spreadsheet or not at all, YouYu is an easy way to try an app that handles bills and monthly summaries without a subscription. The free price only applies while the App Store shows it, so grab it soon if it looks useful. Prices in the Canadian App Store were not stated in the sources, so confirm the price says free before you tap.
