The Roborock Q7 M5+, a robot vacuum and mop with a self-emptying dock, is selling for $249.99 in black on Roborock’s own US online store at the time of writing. Roborock lists the model at $429.99, so this is a clear cut from the official price. The white version is $359.99 on the same page. The store shows no end date, so the price can change at any time.
How the price compares
The comparison that matters is with Roborock’s list price of $429.99. NBC Select reported on October 19 that the Q7 M5+ was $249.98 on Amazon in the US and $249.99 at Roborock, and called it the lowest price in at least six months. NBC Select put the Roborock discount at 42% off. Check the colour before you pay, since only the black model carries the lower price on Roborock’s store.
What the Q7 M5+ does
Roborock describes the Q7 M5+ as an upgrade from the Q5 Max+. The main points, according to Roborock and NBC Select:
- 10,000 Pa suction, which Roborock calls HyperForce
- A dual anti-tangle brush system meant to stop hair from wrapping around the brushes
- LiDAR navigation that maps your home, with no-go zones and scheduling in the app
- Mopping with three water flow levels
- An auto-empty dock with a 2.7L bag that Roborock says covers up to seven weeks of cleaning
Who it suits and what to check
It suits pet owners and busy households who want a robot that vacuums daily, mops hard floors lightly and empties itself, without paying for a model that also washes its own mop. People with mostly hard floors will get the most from the mopping.
Skip it if you want hands-free mop washing and drying, or if your home has lots of high door thresholds. Before buying, check the colour, check that you are on the Roborock US store, and remember that replacement dust bags are an ongoing cost.
The obvious alternative is the Roborock Q7 M5 without the auto-empty dock, for people who do not mind emptying the bin by hand.
